Question 1

How much is a large pizza in St. Augustine?

Accepted Answer

A large cheese pizza from an independent shop runs about 17 to 24 dollars in 2026, with specialty pies at 24 to 32. Chains are a few dollars less on deals. Neapolitan places sell smaller 12-inch personal pies at 15 to 22 each. Slices downtown are usually 4 to 6 dollars for cheese, more for toppings or a Sicilian square.

Question 2

Who delivers pizza to Nocatee and Ponte Vedra?

Accepted Answer

Several shops in Nocatee Town Center and along Palm Valley Road deliver within a few miles, and the chains cover most of the area. Delivery fees are typically 3 to 6 dollars plus tip, and third-party apps add more. Gated sections sometimes require a gate code or a meet at the entrance, so put it in the order notes.

Question 3

Is there good pizza near downtown St. Augustine late at night?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A few slice counters near St. George Street and the Hypolita and Spanish Street bar area stay open until midnight or later on Friday and Saturday. Expect a line after 11 p.m. and limited seating. Most pizza places in the residential areas close by 9 or 10 p.m. on weeknights.

Question 4

Do St. Johns County pizza places offer gluten-free crust?

Accepted Answer

Most do, usually in a 10 or 12-inch size for an added 3 to 5 dollars. Shared ovens and prep tables mean trace exposure is likely at almost every shop, so people with celiac disease should ask how it is handled. A handful of places also do cauliflower crust and vegan cheese on request.

Question 5

Can I get a pizza party catered for a youth sports team?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and shops near the big athletic complexes in Julington Creek, Nocatee and the CR 210 area do it every weekend. Plan on about 3 slices per kid, order a day ahead, and ask if they offer team discounts or a flat per-pie price for 10 or more. Many will deliver to the fields if you give a clear parking spot.

Question 6

What is the difference between New York, Neapolitan and Detroit pizza?

Accepted Answer

New York is a large thin pie cut into foldable slices, baked in a deck or conveyor oven. Neapolitan is a small, soft pie with a charred, puffy edge from a very hot wood or gas dome oven, usually eaten with a fork. Detroit is a thick, rectangular pan pizza with crispy cheese edges and sauce on top. St. Johns County has all three.
