We went here for lunch and found a line out the door. You enter one door where you wait in line to order you pizza buy the slice along with garlic knots, olives and other goodies. Then they heat up your pizza, next you pay for it. It is a cafeteria type set up. There is a small eating area inside and even though it was busy, we found a table. The pizza was good although I didn’t really care for the Grandma’s as it has a bread like thick crust. I prefer thinner. While the pizza was good, I’m don’t think it should be rated #2 in the nation. Hope I don’t get a nasty reply from the owner on that one, he/she tends to reply quite rudely to any negative comments on reviews. Had I seen that before I went, I probably would haven’t chosen to eat here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and should be able to express it with out a nasty down right rude owner response. And yes, I’ve had New York style pizza in New York!
I kept hearing about pizza time but thought "it's just pizza, it's probably nothing special...you can get pizza anywhere." But as soon as I walked by and saw the giant balls of burrata on the pizza slices, I knew we had to stop in and try it. The Sicilian style pizza is truly special and a must-have, and if you're a fan of burrata cheese, you have to try the burrata pizza. I think the low reviews saying that it's "average or mediocre" only tried the thin ny style pizza.
Pizza Time is located on St. George Street in St. Augustine, Florida, and it is another must-stop whenever we are in town. The pizza is excellent, with great quality ingredients and a lot of flavor. One of our favorites is the burrata pizza, which is always outstanding. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a cash-only location, so make sure to bring cash with you. There is an ATM on site if you forget. The service is not the friendliest or most welcoming, but it is not bad either. It is simply not as hospitable as some other places in the area. That said, the food more than makes up for it. Pizza Time remains one of our favorite stops while visiting St. Augustine.
It’s no wonder it was named one of the best pizzas in America. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant, as it’s located in St. Augustine’s historic district—a high-traffic tourist area. However, the pizza is the real star: beautiful, delicious, made with fresh ingredients and perfect dough, and featuring a variety that will make you wish you had a bigger appetite! I’ll be back soon! Congratulations.
Easily the best and most authentic pizza experience, and it is an experience worth its weight In marinara. We came in Saturday at 530 PM on Father's Day weekend, super busy but still fast service. The staff were all smiles and the owner was just a delight! My husband had his heart set on one of their unbelievable calzones, unfortunately they were out. Then the owner popped over and asked if wanted cheese or pepperoni. Pepperoni of course!!! The owner made a fresh one right then and there. They were both all smiles it was awesome. Made his day, or at least his evening! I ordered the stuffed potato ball… it comes with plenty of marinara sauce but you’ll wish you ordered extra. Dare I say it’s better than my Nana’s (Please don’t tell her). We ordered the anti pasto to share, olive oil and balsamic of course. Beautiful presentation and freshness was spot on! Thank you for a great dinner and later a midnight snack.
