I recently purchased a brand-new AC system through One Hour Heating & Air after previously working with Angel, who had repaired my old system. I want to be clear: Angel was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, professional, and honest, and he is ultimately the reason I trusted this company enough to move forward with a new system purchase. If this review were based on Angel alone, it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, the installation experience has been the exact opposite of what was promised. We were sold on “expert installation” and a “No Frustration Guarantee,” yet from day one this process has been nothing but frustration. After the installation, the brand-new system never worked. The outdoor unit would not run at all, our house temperature climbed into the 80s, and my wife, 3 children under 3 and myself were left without AC in Florida heat. Communication became another major issue. We were repeatedly told management would call us back, including the branch manager, but those calls never came. We were left waiting without answers or a clear repair plan while being told we may have to wait until Monday for a circuit board replacement on a system that had never worked from day one. To their credit, they attempted to provide a temporary spot cooler, but unfortunately the unit they brought was broken from the previous customer, leaving us to go buy our own fans just to make the house somewhat tolerable. We were told we would be reimbursed, but at this point we have spent more time troubleshooting and trying to get answers than enjoying the brand-new system we paid for. I do want to specifically recognize John in customer service, who genuinely tried to help and even escalated the issue to the regional manager when the branch manager could not be reached. John was professional, responsive, and seemed to actually care about finding a solution. I truly hope One Hour Heating & Air makes this right because there are good people working there, but based on my experience so far, the promises of “expert installation” and a “No Frustration Guarantee” have not matched reality. 5-11-26 update: Still no AC at 7:40 pm. Someone did drop off a working spot cooler that was improperly installed leaving our window open to the elements and my wife was told to just use a piece of wood. We currently have bugs flying through the window now but at least we have one cold room in the house that we now have to be cooped up in. Rest of the house is at 82 degrees. Branch manager Patrick seems to be avoiding wanting to call us and it has been escalated to regional manager, Chris. Still no remedy to this situation. 5-14-26 Update: I was able to call and reach Patrick Tuesday morning on the 12th and we were able to come to an agreement to just uninstall the defective unit and unwind the deal. He was very understanding and apologetic just wished he would have made contact with us sooner. The manufacturer of the defective unit was hard for them to reach. They came out today and finished uninstalling the unit. They are leaving us the spot cooler until we get our new hvac unit installed which was nice of them.
Gianni was great. Helped us out with diagnosing a problem, and we ended up electing to get a new unit as it was a long time coming anyway. He worked out some good deals for us that saved us a good bit of cash. Nice guy, too. It was a pleasure working with him. Ray and Billy did an excellent job on the installation. They solved some unforeseen problems caused by the original builder of the house, who had really screwed us over, but Ray and Billy put in the extra work to get us running properly. It was a whole lotta work, but they made it happen. Also just a pleasure to talk to. Real nice guys at this company.
One Hour AC and Heating does not stand by their 30 minute promise! Don't publish a promise unless you plan to keep it. On June 27 our AC stopped working. We called One Hour before because they've helped us out in the past. Their technician called us at approximately 830 am to confirm he was on his way...then we received a text from him that said "I mistakenly hit the "I'm here" button on the app, but I'll be there." He didn't show up until approximately 930. At first I thought, ah let it slide...but then when I learned how much more they wanted to charge me for the repair, I changed my mind. A company's promise should be kept! I called and spoke with Josh, the company owner, and asked about standing behind their promise. He said he'd have to get back to me...well it's almost 4 weeks now. Didn't think it would require that much thinking, and I can't seem to be able to contact him now. Cant post "Zero stars" but I woukd if i could. You have lost a customer.
Angel assisted me today with an issue I was having w/ my AC unit. He was very professional and informative. I was very pleased as a Customer with his working knowledge & experience as a technician! I am now switching my service to One Hour AC&Heating And I will request Angel As my technician🙂 Great job and thank you again! A satisfied customer💯
Gianni explained everything that needed to be done. He was very friendly. He gave me the price. Got my approval and went to work. As he did something he explained it. I would highly recommend new customers ask for Gianni.
