PRC is the gift that keeps on giving one year after graduation! I now have the tools and techniques to live my healthiest and happiest life. It took me way too long to decide I needed this program, but once I knew I'd hit the end of the road and that this was my last chance at functioning again, I moved mountains to get there. I'm forever grateful for all I learned from the team members who have continued to provide support through this past year and who help me enjoy my best life. PRC is a very wholistic approach to managing pain and in my opinion, living with any chronic condition. If one works the program, it is life changing on so many levels: physically, emotionally, even spiritually because living authentically is a great gift to ourselves and to others. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

If I could take back sending my daughter to this place with her father last year I would. Sitting down listening to people (primarily Dr. Sletten) babble their own philosophy regarding pain for weeks and a Bio feedback session or 2 was not only a WASTE of money but completely destroyed my daughter's mental strength and behavior. I tried on more than one occasion to try and communicate directly to Dr. Sletten. Over the phone directly and while listening to him in a group session with my daughter's father's phone on speaker so I could listen and assess what was being discussed. My daughter was in a complete different category. She had suffered a neck injury from a horse accident was prescribed Duloxetine (by Birmingham children's hospital) for pain. She had a severe reaction to this medication that completely destroyed her cognitive senses. I quickly weaned her from this poison prior to her visit at this so-called pain clinic. In short, my daughter has improved in healing from her injury but her mental state has been manipulated with whatever she was having her head filled with at that 3 or 4 week PRC program. If I could go back into time I would have never sent her to that place. Save your money, save your child, save yourself. Do not go to that facility. Research another program to help you or your loved one in dealing with pain. These people were not receptive to any of my concerns or even with communicating with me. I am her mother, I was her primary caregiver. Why in the world these people would not listen to any of my concerns is a mystery. All I can surmise is that the PRC program is an excellent cash cow to help with the medical side of the house at the Mayo clinic. I really felt this program would help my daughter, not destroy her.
I was a patient of MayoClinic from 1995 - 2015.20yrs wonderful care. Primary to Specialist. Due to wheelchair and arthritis was not good To ride JTA Para transit the distance. I do miss the quality care. I'm full time resident at River City Nursing Rehab. No place like Mayo for research and care. Thank you. I would be back if possible. I thank my Primary care Dr Mark Parkulo. For20. Yrs of care .
I believe customer service is everything so if you're going to ask someone to hold give to time to acknowledge the hold before you put them on hold Ariser!
