Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital - University Campus

They took excellent care of my wife and the entire therapy staff was absolutely wonderful, passionate about their work and so pleasant to be around. The nurses and PCTs were always on the ball and they are very friendly. The drs were easy to communicate with and supportive. Her neurologist, Dr. Persaud, was excellent and a really great guy. The RT staff was great, especially Bruce, who is an all around awesome guy! They helped us get on track to a potential recovery.

When I first walked in, I heard music therapy, and it immediately brought me to tears. It was such a beautiful reminder of how deeply the staff truly cares for every patient. This is clearly more than a job—it’s a calling. Everyone I have encountered has been incredibly kind. Even something as simple as a warm “good morning” and a genuine smile can make such a difference during a difficult time. Maria came to my mom’s room, and we spent a few moments talking about our faith. She prayed over us, and that meant more to me than words can express. It brought us so much comfort and peace. The campus is also exceptionally clean and well cared for, which adds to the sense of dignity and respect shown to every patient. Most of all, I am so grateful that my mom came to Brooks. Knowing she feels safe, cared for, and surrounded by compassionate people has been an incredible blessing to our family. Thank you to everyone who has made such a positive difference in her recovery.

A rehab facility that doesn’t seem focused on rehabilitation. Patients are discharged according to a 21-day timeline, whether they are truly ready or not. The process appears to prioritize funding and facility policies over the individual needs of the patient. Our calls and emails requesting help and answers went unanswered. Unfortunately, I suspect this review will receive a response much faster than any of those did.

The rehab rehabilitation part of the hospital is very good. The men and the woman try to help you as much as they can to get you back to normal. They are very good with you or speaking with your family. On the hospital side of the rehabilitation hospital is another matter. I have been given medication’s by my doctors in another city and at Brooks I am not receiving the same medication’s or I am not receiving them on time or when they are due to be administered. I had asked over and over for my medication’s. I am also getting mixed messages from the doctor, which made it very confusing for me.
