I just want to give a big shoutout to Woolley’s and especially SETH for dealing with my husband today for his misunderstanding. Everyone is very professional and hospitable! Thank you for being understanding and we absolutely love the gun and very happy with it. We got the blaser fbx. Would definitely recommend to family and friends! 100/10! 😁😁
I booked a lesson with John for a birthday group outing. A few of us have had a handful of guided sporting clay outings in the past, and really enjoyed ourselves. Would even go as far as to say we knew our way around, more or less. Solid novices. Absolutely untrue, as it turns out! John customizes your lesson to you like you would never believe. He can clock exactly how you should be shooting to get the optimal result. Even with six of us, he effortlessly kept track of not only all of our names, but how to coach each of us individually based on our specific profiles. Needless to say, even those of us who had shot clays before had to completely relearn everything from the ground up. This made the morning so much more fun than any other time we’d been out!! We all left with rock solid foundations, better accuracy, and higher scores. John is not only a world class coach (literally), but an absolute pleasure to talk to and hang out with. I feel like I’m letting a well kept secret out of the bag by writing this, but I honestly cannot recommend him enough!
Excellent selection. Very knowledgeable staff. Located on a Sporting clays course you can test out the used guns. Really Great place to buy a shotgun.
I recently had the incredibly good fortune of being introduced to Sporting Clays through an afternoon lesson with John Woolley. It had been quite some time since I had fired a shotgun, and I was feeling a little anxiety about the lesson. John’s approach was friendly and casual. I could tell from the jump that the experience was going to be fun. John’s teaching method is very similar to a life drawing class. Eliminating variables like stance and mount while emphasizing focus through observation. In a life drawing class, the student begins by tracing the outline of their subject with their eyes while attempting to follow with their shoulder and hand. They do not look at their paper, that part, the “drawing” part just happens. Not well at first, but improvement comes surprisingly quickly if the instructor can reinforce it. Before too long, the student has developed a direct connection between their eyes and their hand. If they can maintain it through practice, beautiful works may follow. John manages this same sort of magic. In an afternoon he was able to show me how to find that connection and tap into it by focusing on the “bird” and letting the shooting happen. What initially seemed challenging to the point of impossible became intuitive, simultaneously relaxing and exciting. John’s method works. And it’s fun.
By far this was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a new gun. Nick was just outstanding to work with. He has great knowledge of the weapons and is fantastic at explaining the details simply. He was patient and listened to my goals and budget throughout the process. By far the most complete and impressive shotgun selection anywhere. To cap things off, John Woolley stopping by to ask me how my new gun was performing on the course and making sure I was happy with the purchase, very likely made me a customer for long time! Great job WSC!
