Have had them out previously for topping off unit and maintenance. This time 11/2025 United performed a complete replacement. Mason worked up the quote with what I felt was honest feedback. Jeremy was the Installer who walked me through the installation and as someone in the construction industry myself it had the added touches of a quality installation. Neat where it counts as well. The new unit is one of the new generation American Standard systems and appears to be a well made unit that I expect to last another 20 years with proper maintenance. When we first walked up to the outside unit I was disappointed that it was off because I wanted to hear how loud it was going to be then I realized it was actually running and was that quiet. Will plan to use United as the maintenence company as well. Job well done.

Tech indicated system needed to be replaced but did not tell warrantee company apparently. I'm told today by another AC company that the refrigerant leaking is dangerous and entire system should be replaced because the refrigerant is no longer being made available as of January 2025. Apparently the warrantee companies are telling techs to recommend parts 4 replacements rather than system replacements. Mason. Told me he'd recommend replacement the warrantee company denied receiving that info..
