I booked through Groupon and Ashley hosted my massage. She asked me what areas I wanted her to focus on mainly but honestly I don't remember the massage cause I fell asleep in what felt like 5 min and I don't fall asleep around strangers. This was my first professional massage in life , fortunately it was with Ashley. Because of who I am in Christ I'm very mindful and discerning when entering new territory, dwelling and social atmospheres but I felt safe at Zen. I would change one thing though, the massage oil, balm or cream that was used (I never saw it physically, neither was I shown what it was that was being used but I also didn't ask because I trusted the process)and one reason that I didn't ask is because I do not have any allergies to anything topical but whatever she used or didn't use, I still I discerned that something assisted with me falling asleep so fast so I would rather her to use my oil instead if she can on my next visit for spiritual reasons and because I don't want to go to sleep. When I woke up I took a while to come to my senses and she asked me was I ok and I said yes because truly I was alive and well. Please don't take this review from a negative stance, I simply didn't want to fall asleep, I wanted to remember my experience because like I said it was my first experience. Being that I was a victim of SA when I was a child I never was interested in massage, it gave me the creeps but when I met Ashley that trauma left and I'm no longer in fear of being touched by a professional, so if your looking for a professional that won't attempt to harm you or be inappropriate choose Ashley please. I do believe that another reason I took a while to come to my senses was because my blood flow has changed drastically and because I was asleep during the change it caught me off guard when she woke me up to get dressed and I stood up after she gave me privacy to get dressed. My next visit will determine a final review. I do have a leg injury that requires on going physical therapy due to the severity of the injury and Ashley's work was better than my physical therapist as far as massage goes because I can now feel my leg in areas where it was previously paralyzed so if this review doesn't make you book I don't know what to tell you all, all I know is IM GOING BACK and if I fall asleep again using my oil then we can confirm it's the anointing of her hands not the product used. Hahaha but overall the ambiance was great and she didn't talk during the massage. She was overly careful with my injured leg, next time I prefer more pressure because there's parts of my leg that are numb to touch so if she's barely rubbing it in fear of hurting me I need to be specific in explaining to her that I need extreme pressure not delicacy where my problem areas are but I'm confident she can adjust to my request. Ashley, if your reading this, please be mindful of your clients that enter, some are witches and many people operate in divination and your hands are a point of contact to those type of people. I know you can't discriminate but be careful. Believers of Jesus Christ I encourage you to put on the full armor of God before entering Zen; not because of Ashley but because of the demonic clients she has to come in contact with, at the end of the day she can't turn people around for being a unbeliever. It's your duty to protect yourselves, she can't change the factors of her clientele. Be kind. Thank you Ash. God bless you!
