We are so lucky to have a spot like Stone here in Jax. I’ve been going to Stone Jax since they opened at the beginning of the year , and the vibe is just unmatched. The 50-foot walls are a total game-changer—having that kind of height to work with is amazing for anyone looking to work on their endurance or just get a good pump. The whole facility is state-of-the-art; there is absolutely everything that you could ask for in a gym like this. But the best part isn't even the gear; it's the climbing community they’re building. Everyone is actually stoked to see you crush a project. A massive shoutout to the staff as well—they are absolute legends who genuinely care about the sport and the people walking through the door. Grateful to have this place in Jax
Everything is priced well, the staff are all incredibly welcoming and polite, this gym hits all the items on my checklist, the grading is good, the classes they offer are great, and the variety of climbing available here is great.
There is not a better Rock Climbing gym in Jacksonville for vibes, kindness, and inclusion. Ive been climbing for years but since it opened in January, not a day goes by that a staff member doesn’t greets me warmly and I feel encouraged to try my best. It is perfect for beginners to experience climbers. I am so thankful Jacksonville has such an amazing Rock Climbing gym!
I love Stone! I’ve been climbing for about a year now and really enjoy both the mental challenge and the workout. They offer routes for all skill levels, from beginner-friendly climbs to challenging climbs for more advanced climbers. The staff is always friendly and supportive, and the overall atmosphere is great. The new gym is amazing, and I’m especially happy that it’s so close to me!
Such a great and much needed new climbing gym in Jax! Lots of bouldering walls that are actually taller than other places and massive 50-60ft top rop/lead walls. Tension board upstairs, a weight-lifting gym, kids climbing area, members lounge, and more. This review is after visiting only once so I'm sure there's more I could say, but I just know already that I'm going to become a regular here. Very welcoming environment with friendly/approachable climbers with no judgement to be seen. Everyone is just there to have a good time and help each other help themselves. I'm so happy that I can claim Stone Climbing Jax as my local rock gym. Huge thanks to the owner and employees for making this a gym I feel welcome at and I look forward to engaging with the community and growing as a climber and a person. 😊
