The Flaucher Family owes a great deal to the professional staff at Southside Animal Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Our family recently moved overseas, and we took our four pets with us (3 cats and 1 large dog). Southside provided all of the USDA exams, vaccines, and necessary paperwork to ensure our pets made it from Jacksonville, FL, to New Delhi, India. We couldn’t be happier with their responsiveness, service, and dedication to the arduous task of moving pets overseas. They also provided the CURV certificate to make it easier for our dog to return to the United States. I’m not sure how many times they've handled international travel documents and exam requests, but they were pros, and all our pets made it! We were especially impressed by how they handled the strict 10-day timeline for the USDA paperwork via the VEHCS system with India. We’d also like to give a special shout-out to Dr. Mickie. She was instrumental in spearheading our pet travel requirements. She was super understanding, compassionate, and responsive to our requests. She invested a lot of time and energy to ensure we were set up for success prior to our US departure. She's the consummate professional, and the Southside Animal Clinic is lucky to have her! All of the pets are here in India and thriving! Thanks so much, Dr. Mickie. We could not have done it without you! From a grateful Flaucher Family, Jon
I have been going here for many years with my dog and cats. I haven’t had to go for anything serious I. Years until yesterday with my 13yr old chihuahua. Dr Burgess and the tech who handled our baby for us were phenomenal wouldn’t recommend anyone other that southside animal hospital. Dr Burgess is so compassionate and caring she talks to you and tells you all the treatment plans available if and when they are needed and is t like other vets I have gone to in the past where they seem to wanna do nothing but take your money. If your needing a vet this is where you should go to
Out of all the vets I’ve seen in Jax this is the best one for me! They’re empathetic and understanding with my pet. We received help when transferring to an er, a iv prepared and everything. Prices wise it’s what you’d expect for a vet, better in my opinion. This overall is a nice environment and space to bring your pets into. It’s super easy to get updates and contact staff here! When you have an appointment you’re in a room within good time. There is even an app provided for easy communication and access. I am definitely going to continue using this vet and eventually bring my other pets here. 100% recommend.
Euthanised our sweet baby today. The doctor was so amazing. They gave us so much time. For 3 hours the doctor reassured us, ran us through options, the moral side of it, the medical side of it, she let us know there was no wrong decision to make. She was so kind and so unbelievably patient, even while having other patients. This place is so amazing and wellkept, please visit them ❤️
