I’ve been training with Kristy at Roar Training Center for a few months now, and I’ve been so pleased. I’ve always been an active person- yoga, surfing, gym, group fitness, you name it- but this has been my first experience with a personal trainer. I actually look forward to going, I feel challenged but safe, I don’t have to think about anything because Kristy does all of the planning, and I’m not bored because Kristy keeps it fresh every time. I have suffered migraines since I was a teenager, and in these months training with Kristy, no migraines. It could be a coincidence, but it sure doesn’t seem like it. Like so many women, I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and upper back. Because Kristy has trained proper form so expertly, I believe I have been able to finally release and/or balance out that tension, and this may be why migraines have left the chat. Here’s another thing. I am a hobbyist surfer and my pop-up… isn’t great. I mentioned this to Kristy and by the next session, she began incorporating specific movements and exercises to improve my pop-up. I didn’t ask her to, honestly because it hadn’t even crossed my mind to connect these 2 things- popping up, and training- but she just knew she could help me in this way. Icing on the cake! Level up your fitness game by checking out Kristy at Roar Training Center. I’m so happy I made this decision, and it’s been worth every penny.
My husband and I have been training at Roar for over two years now, and we can’t recommend it enough. The functional training program has been exactly what we needed to build strength and stay active through this stage of our lives. The workouts are challenging yet adaptable, and we’ve both noticed how much stronger and more capable we feel in our day-to-day activities. Chris created a supportive & motivating environment that keeps us coming back week after week. ROAR has truly been a game-changer for our health and fitness!
Chris and the team at ROAR Training Center are top notch! It's not a gym but a directed and focused approach to top performance! Private and group instruction are available and they also do training for your children and grandchildren. Whether your youngster wants to be a football player, golfer or future tennis star, the team at ROAR will get your child ready to perform at a high and competitive level! Clean, modern facility and studio... Highly Recommend!!
Kristy is an amazing core coach! I never used to prioritize core workouts. I have been working with Kristy every week for 3-4 months now, and I have noticed real results. I am more toned, I perform better when playing sports due to a stronger core base, I haven’t had any back issues (she is very focused on form) - and I have had fun doing it! Every week is different, and she takes full advantage of those 30 minutes!
I have been working out with Chris at Trx Training for 2.5 years both in the beautiful studio and on Zoom. His attention to detail always surprises me. He can tell the moment I walk in how my body is doing. Tight low back or hips or whatever and he adjusts each workout to specifically deal with my day to day issues. I’m 70 years in good shape much better shape after working with Chris. He has great concentration and humor and the mix is uplifting. The studio is super clean and usually with the virus at large I’m the only one working out. Great modern equipment. Good skills and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Chris and his wife, Also a knowledgeable athlete and his staff to help getting me stronger and healthier. Small local business that gives back to St Augustine. And cares about his clients.
