Nice privately owned Marina! So few are left ! Dockmaster is a pro and knows how to communicate to First Mate and the Captain as to what the conditions are and he has great line handling! The Marina is kinda no frills but has everything you need. We'll be back for sure !
As always Rivers Edge Marina made our visit a great one. Paul is one of the best dock masters I have met. The docks and pedestals are in great shape. Recommend you arrive and leave at slack tide as it can get interesting.
Marina's are all about the people in them. Very professionally run by Paul. This Marina is fun with very friendly locals who live on site giving the place a great vibe/atmosphere. There are a few who tend to imbibe a little too deeply many evenings so you don't see too many kids, but they are little more than even more friendly! Great location up the San Sebastian River, one of the safest from weather and while the docks appear well-maintained are showing their age. A little bit further from much of the tourist sightseeing than the municipal Marina, but very easy if you have a couple of bicycles! St. Augustine is perfect for bicycling
Stayed at Rivers Edge for 2 days. All was good. Bathrooms were clean and updated, washer & dryer (2.75), Books to take or leave. George was super nice. Restaurant had good food as well. Be back in the spring.
Great experience, the dockmaster Paul helped us get our sailing vessel to the docks with wind & current pushing us around. He made several suggestions for the area and gave us directions to go provision for the next leg of our trip. Small, quiet marina with lots of friendly people.
