Rainbow Shades Beach Store

I came in on Tuesday and bought a pair or olukai sandals from the young man at the desk he was very kind. I brought my husband and 5yo son back the next day to do some shopping and buy more shoes. My son had a small bowl of ice-cream from next door. The older guy at the front says "we dont allow children with ice cream in the store". We kind of thought he was joking but he wasn't. It was completely rude and condescending they way he talked to us. A "hey guys welcome in! Is that ice-cream yummy? Let's make sure that we are extra careful with that or I have a trash can we can toss it into if you would like. " That would have been way better. I have been management in retail for years and now I stay home. I was soo offend on his catty attitude that I was going to return my first pair of sandals ($105). I decided to go back in after the beach and see if they made commission because I didn't want to take from the young man. He was very kind and apologized to me for the managers awful attitude. We did purchase another pair and sandals for my son. ($180). So in total $300. I wish management would go through additional training to handle situations more professionally.

Such a cute shop with a little bit of everything! Whether you need some new sun glasses, an umbrella, or towels for the beach, or want some cute gifts to take home to remember Vilano, I’d put Rainbow Shades on your list to stop! The cashier was so nice (not sure if they were also the owner, but they gave the vibe they were!) and their kindness made our stop that much better!

Nice clean store with beach clothing and gear... sunglasses, shirts, boards, hats...etc. The store is clean and comfortable.
