I had such a wonderful experience with Normandy Animal Hospital. I brought in a pregnant stray kitty as a walk-in, and even without an appointment, they treated us with so much kindness, compassion, and urgency. Dr. Khalil was incredible—so gentle, attentive, and clearly passionate about the care he provides. He took the time to make sure she was comfortable and thoroughly checked her over, which gave me so much peace of mind during a stressful situation. The entire staff was welcoming and caring, and I never once felt like I was an inconvenience. You can truly tell they care about the animals they treat. Because of this experience, Normandy Animal Hospital is now my go-to vet. I’m so grateful for the compassion and excellent care they provided, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring veterinary team.
Dr. Trotter was amazing! I brought in our Shiba that was having major skin issues. We had already had him seen by two other vets and nothing was making him better. She took her time with him as well as explaining things to me. He started on allergy meds and within a day he was a different dog and within a week he was back to feeling like himself, and his fur is growing back.
I have used Normandy Animal Hospital for many years now, I have had numerous dogs I have taken to them. The Vets that have worked there are very good and caring. The biggest issue I feel is the wait time since they do not take appointments.
I visited Normandy Animal Hospital today with my dog, knowing it was a walk-in clinic, so I expected some waiting. However, I did not expect to wait over 3.5 hours. During that time, I noticed two large dogs arrive and be taken directly to exam rooms while several of us who had been waiting continued to sit in the lobby. I understand there may have been medical emergencies or other reasons for this, but no explanation was given, so it was frustrating from a customer’s perspective. After about 2.5 hours, a technician took my dog back to ask questions and told me the doctor would be out “in a few minutes.” An hour later, I was still waiting to see the veterinarian. While I was there, another client left after waiting for about an hour because they said no one had informed them that walk-in hours were limited. After that customer left, I heard the receptionist tell another client, “We’re here for your convenience.” Given the long waits and lack of communication, that comment came across poorly. My biggest concern isn’t that I had to wait—walk-in clinics can be busy. It’s the lack of communication and realistic expectations. If wait times are running several hours, clients should be told upfront so they can decide whether to stay or return later. If this is a common occurrence, the practice may want to consider adding another veterinarian. I appreciate that the staff is likely working hard, but time is valuable. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would hesitate to return or recommend this clinic to others who cannot afford to spend most of their day waiting without updates.
The doctors, nurses, and front desk are all kind and very understanding. When my pet passed away there, the staff was very comforting during the whole thing. The prices are reasonable and my dog loved the staff. Thank you guys very much
