Nails So Happy Jacksonville

This salon is Excellent! I’ve been coming here for the last 15 years. So clean and the owners Todd and Sue are so patient and meticulous. I have a special needs daughter who comes in every 2 weeks for her nails to be done. She will sit and let Van dig out her ingrown nails and patiently waits for her gel polish to be painted on. It’s the highlight of her week.

I rarely write reviews, but after this experience I felt I needed to share. I almost never get my nails done, and I was really excited to treat myself and my daughter before spring break. Unfortunately, my experience here was extremely disappointing. My daughter’s nails were done by one of the younger ladies and she did a fantastic job. She was kind, patient, and my daughter’s nails looked beautiful. I truly appreciate the service she provided. Unfortunately, the gentleman who did my nails (he was sitting in the first chair on the right when you walk in and was wearing a red shirt) did an extremely poor job. My nails are very lumpy, uneven, and extremely thick, with some nails thicker than others. The polish was applied all the way onto my cuticles and looked messy and spotty. When I politely asked him to fix it, instead of correcting the issue properly he filed some of the polish and added more gel on top, which made the nails look even thicker. At that point I asked him to remove the polish completely and redo them, but they still came out terrible. The shapes are inconsistent, they weren’t cleaned up well, and overall they just look sloppy. Honestly, they look even worse in person than they do in the pictures I’m posting. What made the experience even worse was his attitude. He seemed frustrated that I asked him to fix my nails and was not apologetic or kind at all. Instead, he brushed me off to another lady to add the polka dots. The lady who helped at the end was extremely nice, but by that point the damage had already been done. This was actually the first time in my life that I’ve ever sat in a nail salon chair and started crying. That’s how upsetting the experience was. The salon was completely empty, so there was absolutely no reason for my service to feel rushed. Yet that’s exactly how it felt. To top it all off, I was still charged full price for a set of nails that I’m now going to have to go home and try to fix myself. There are so many nail salons in this area, and unfortunately this was the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had. If you do decide to come here, I would strongly recommend asking for one of the younger ladies, because the technician who did my daughter’s nails did a great job. Otherwise, I would honestly suggest trying another salon.

It's always a great experience. As usually not only am I greeted....friendly conversation takes place and my nails are amazing. Lily is my technician. I refuse to go anywhere else. When I travel and have no choice to get my nails done...I call Lily so she can guide the nail technician out of town what to do. These are two different appts this month....

My go to nail place. Everyone is always so nice and patient. They take their time to make sure your nails look excellent. Love my pedicures and dip from Nails So Happy.
