This was my first trip to Amelia Island, and I was told two things: (1) Amelia Island is picturesque, and (2) I could get some yummy food, particularly seafood. I googled some gems (restaurants) and Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls was top on the list. From the outside, it looks like a red and white house, but inside there are a few surprises. The menu is pretty simple. Basically you have two options: hot or cold lobster rolls. (There are other items besides lobster - crab, shrimp, hot dogs.) You have the option of adding tots and a drink, to make it a meal. At the suggestion of the young man working the register, I ordered the Connecticut, which is simply succulent, fresh tasting, slightly sweet lobster and butter, slapped inside a buttery roll, and a cup of lobster bisque (with an extra scoop of lobster). Both were delicious. While pricey, it was definitely an experience, especially if you are a foodie. Everything was tasty and filling. Overall, I definitely recommend if you are in the area.
My husband and I were looking forward to seafood and decided to try this place instead of fighting the crowd of his favorite place. When we entered, the air conditioning was either not working or set extremely high. It felt like 80+ degrees in there if not warmer. The staff were somewhat friendly. We ordered, got our food and it looked yummy! We each had a lobster roll, tots and a drink. $63! For quick food! We expect to pay for lobster but it was a little inflated due to the area. The rolls were delicious! The tots were mediocre and nothing special. Would have expected them to be hot and some seasoning or something. My husband loves hot sauce and when we looked on the table, it was a worn out bottle with crusted sauce on the top. He went to another table to grab from there and the same. Ewww. I would love to try it again if they changed or cleaned the hot sauce bottles and turned the A/C down. The rolls are delicious! It’s a shame the atmosphere didn’t match it.
I had such a great experience at Mason’s Lobster Rolls! Javi and Juan made my visit extra special. They customized my sandwich for me and it was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was fresh, warm, and so flavorful. What really stood out though was the way they welcomed me. Both of them made me feel so welcome it truly felt like a warm hug away from home. Juan even does comedy at this location which made the whole vibe even more fun and unique. Check out one of his shows! The food was amazing, but the energy and interaction were top tier. I’ll definitely be back this was my second visit! 🦞✨
Lobster rolls were fabulous with a variety of options. We also enjoy the lobsterac and cheese - large lobster pieces! My inlaws had the salad they stated the dressing was fabulous. Highly recommend
Great huge lobster Rolls! Excellent atmosphere and service. The new owner seems to be doing everything right.
