What a huge disappointment. “Serving fresh fish only” is a false claim. I’ll start with a positive. The drinks were great and reasonable priced. My husband had the Old Fashioned, and I had the Guava Margarita. We tried the sushi, which was bland and tasteless. We had the Error in Judgement roll and the Yellowfin tuna martini. It’s not a sushi restaurant, so no surprise that is was sub-par. My husband ordered the sea scallops, which were not real sea scallops, but plugs. The sea scallops had zero fibers (see pictures). Anyone from Florida knows how real scallops look and taste. The manager did not come to speak with us although the server asked the manager to come to our table after I said the sea scallops were not real and their two choices of fresh fish are not even in season - Atlantic Salmon and Carolina Flounder (see menu and date). The seafood casserole special was served lukewarm, and the bay scallops were slimy. I’m not sure why there was a huge fishbone in the casserole. This is absolutely a horrible seafood restaurant. There are plenty of wonderful choices in the area. Do NOT bother with this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I have gone to kingfish for many years and just absolutely LOVE this place. Our experience today was worth sharing!!! Our server Samson was so welcoming and attentive from beginning to end and had a great recommendation for us to try the error in judgment roll to pair with our tuna poke bowl. Sushi chef Austin as always delivered a beautifully display of food once again!!! thanks to manager Tony who noticed our order and suggested to try a roll off the daily specials menu and it was out of this world. Grateful to have this place in rotation for lunch / dinner dates! Thank you all for the hospitality!
August 26 update: We tried their specials this evening and they were indeed special. My wife had the stuffed shrimp and I had the stuffed Cod. Both were fantastic! I started with another special, the fried alligator tail with Thai dipping sauce. Wonderful! Kudos once again to the kitchen staff! Our server Samson was very attentive and very nice to talk to. A wonderful dining experience! Lindsay and Linda Johnson My wife and I had dinner this evening. My wife went with her "go to" meal which was the seafood platter grilled. I went with the specials, I had the seafood jambalaya soup as a starter and the seafood stuffed flounder which was stuffed with shrimp, scallops and crab and topped with a sun-dried tomato cream sauce. Both of our meals were delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff for a wonderful meal. Our experience was enhanced by our server Brandy. She was very attentive and pleasant. Highly recommend to any and all! Lindsay and Linda Johnson
Fantastic brunch! We came to see Deluna play the harp (which I hope she’ll do every Sunday from now on! She’s so talented and a delight to hear while having delicious food in a warm and friendly atmosphere! I had the No Judgement Roll, so fresh! Yellowtail! Tuna! Scallops! YAY! Christina was our server, she was PHENOMENAL!! Go and bring your friends! You’ll love it!!
Was taken care of so well by Alison and Anthony today at kingfish grill. Phenomenal sushi prepared by their sushi chef who I believe has been with them for a very long time. Our meal was wonderful and we were treated so warmly. We’ve been coming to Kingfish for many years. Countless birthdays and special occasions. We miss the old location but the same service and quality can still be found here.
