Everyone is so friendly. The reception area and the front looked very clean and well maintained. The check in was super good and our boy was remembered by all staff despite not having him there since august of 2021 😊 The staff were real nice and courteous! They all said good morning when walking by while we were checking in and they just seems to enjoy themselves with the pops!
Finally have time to give our friends at JCAW a huge shout out and thank you! We were going out of town a couple of weeks before Christmas and I honestly thought I had made a reservation for boarding. Well during a very busy time I must have only THOUGHT I made a reservation (6 days). When I arrived with my pooch and no reservation the staff was so patient and found room for him. Crisis averted! I have used both JCAW and JCAH for 2 dogs and they are great! Highly recommend.
Animal Walk was extremely accommodating of our needs and even our quirks! I want to give special thanks to Mauricio for the phenomenal service and attention to detail.
I took a long time to write this review and debated whether or not I even wanted to at the risk of sounding like "that mom." I signed up two of my dogs for daycare and received absolutely no confirmation and no one contacted me to confirm or deny. Eventually, I had to reach out for ANY information. After confirming, I dropped my lab off (her name is Riley, about a year old). Upon drop-off, I received zero information on what to expect, the potential of getting any update during the day, etc. After work I went to pick her up and again had to ask for any sort of update. The person at the front desk told me there were no notes which means she probably did fine. At approximately midnight that night, we received an email stating that Riley was nervous at first but eventually by the afternoon she was playing having fun in the pool. I took her back for a second time and again received no information. But I figured based on the first report card she would be fine. About 3:00 p.m. that afternoon before we went to pick her up, we received a report card that Riley was brought into a yard and snapped at a dog who ran up to her and was immediately put back in a kennel. Hence the "that mom" part of the review. My dog absolutely snaps at dogs when she's correcting them. I have several foster puppies in and out of my house and she has told many of them to not rush at her face, bite her legs or her ears etc. I oversee every single one of her interactions with other dogs I bring in my home and not once was there an inappropriate correction or an appropriate snap. The employees at this business clearly have zero clue about dog behavior. Allowing any dog to bum rush a brand new, already noted as nervous dog, in a new environment is inappropriate on all levels. I have been working with animals in and outside of daycare for about 10 years. My previous job was actually a manager for a daycare, where we did new dog introductions, often. If any of my staff had allowed this sort of behavior, quite frankly, they probably would have been reprimanded for an inappropriate reaction. Dogs need to be allowed to correct other animals. I know my dog, I know dog behavior. Not one time has she ever overly corrected a dog. To put her in a kennel for the remainder of the day was absolutely insane and we're actually pretty angry we paid for my dog to get zero exercise and zero interaction. We have not returned since and we will not return again.
Amazing staff. They always take such good care of our family’s dog, Raptor. And we feel much better about leaving him for daycare/boarding knowing that he is in good hands of people that love him. When we picked him up from boarding they gave us a sweet picture of Raptor with his buddy, Finely🖤
