⭐ 1-Star Review — Extremely Disappointing Experience Our first experience with Hawthorne Salon was great, which is exactly why I trusted them with my 13-year-old daughter’s hair. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will never be back. My daughter came in wanting calico hair. We showed clear inspiration photos, discussed the look with the stylist, and were under the impression everyone was on the same page. The bottom photos show the look she was expecting; the top photos show how her hair actually looked when she left. She left the salon crying. She was about to start school and was so upset with the result it looked like they ended up putting box brown dye over her hair and it kept staining her face and eyebrows with one blonde highlight! For a 13-year-old who was excited about getting her hair done, that was heartbreaking. To make matters worse, I was originally estimated $295 and was charged approximately $400. After I complained, the owner called and offered me a $100 credit. While that certainly didn't make up for what happened, I accepted the gesture. Then, a week or two later, I received a text saying the credit had to be used by booking something within 30 days. That condition was NEVER communicated to me when the credit was offered. So after paying significantly more than the estimate for a service that did not resemble what was discussed, their solution was essentially a credit that required me to spend more money with them—and on their timeline. Business owner to business owner: that is not customer service. When your business fails to deliver the service a client reasonably believed they were purchasing, especially when the client is a child who leaves your business in tears, the goal should be to make the situation right—not attach undisclosed conditions to the remedy afterward. I gave them the opportunity to resolve this appropriately, and unfortunately they chose not to. Our first visit may have been positive, but the way a business handles things when something goes wrong tells me far more about that business than when everything goes right. We will not be returning.

Val was absolutely amazing! I came in with super grown out roots from an at home bleach job, and she did exactly what I needed. She kept the integrity of my hair, blended everything beautifully, and I am so happy with the results. The dimension is gorgeous and I’m so happy to have my hair fixed from the mess we created at home. Val is also super easy to talk to and welcoming! 10/10

Libby was absolutely amazing! From the moment I sat in her chair, she was personable, attentive and really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. She listened carefully to my vision and delivered results perfectly - better than I imagined. I left feeling so confident and refreshed. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who listens and delivers results.

Haven’t had my hair done in years! Haley did a phenomenal color on me & Morgan gave me an outstanding cut/style! Highly recommend this salon, I feel brand new thank you!!!
