I have been here before and had a good experience. The shop itself is a good place. Unfortunately, my stylist avery did an awful job. all I asked for was a cut just below my shoulders and i have to have ability to put in a pony tail for work. I could tell by something the stylist said that she immediately cut too much off the back.. my daughter was also there so i kept my cool and we finished the cut because at that point what would she do to fix it,, glue it back on? My hair is atleast 2 inches shorter than I asked for (not even touching my shoulders) and i am not able to put it up in a pony tail. I am devastated. It looks awful as I do not have the face type for really short hair. Also, the chair i sat in still had hair on it from her previous client, gross. I will not be back to this stylist. On the other hand my daughters stylist, hannah, did a great job on her hair and her length cut was basically exactly what i wanted and it looked great. Update: at this point I feel a manager should be reaching out to me since owner is now aware. Thank you for your response.

We drove down from NC to marry off our one and only daughter, in the steamy Jax summer heat. We had ONE shot to get our hair right for the forever memories we'd capture from the wedding. I was very anxious about it because my "mature" hair is falling out and the new growth means short pieces of hair sticking up everywhere. I'm extremely self-conscious about it. Plus, the heat and humidity make my hair go wild and frizzy--my hair just laughs at hairspray. But it's not just about me, lol. There were 6 of us that morning, including the bride, 3 bridesmaids, mob, and mog. I am SO HAPPY to say that Cassie delivered!! I loved the way she asked me what I wanted, AND she gave recommendations based on the way my hair naturally goes. She was very kind and empathetic, and also very personable, and I never felt rushed.The final result for ALL of us was beauty, confidence, and styles that held up all day long. Thank you, Cassie, for making all of my mama dreams come true!!

I have gotten my hair both cut and dyed at Haute Headz multiple times now. The salon is adorable and the staff as a whole are so welcoming, but we all know it’s your stylist who can make or break the experience. I cannot recommend Avery as a stylist enough!! Every time I’ve gone in, I have asked for something different and she always understands the assignment! I’m on the quieter side and often find it difficult to speak up when a stylist is going in a direction that doesn’t align with what I had envisioned, however, when I am in Avery’s chair I’ve never felt that my input is unwelcome. She demonstrates a type of professionalism and honesty in her work that can make one feel at ease. She takes my ideas and carries them through with grace, always making sure each step of the process is as agreed upon! If you find yourself nervous to get your hair done or feel overwhelmed by choosing a new stylist, take it from me, Avery is your new bestie!!!

I had my hair cut, blow dried and styled by Hanna. I really like this place and the atmosphere! My stylist Hanna was very detailed and made sure that I knew exactly what she was going to do before she did it. She asked me every single question she needed to make sure that she gave me exactly what I wanted, she listened to me thoroughly and gave me advice/tips when I asked for it! Hanna definitely goes above and beyond for her clients and makes them feel very comfortable in her chair. I could recommend her to anybody, I have for sure found my new favorite hair stylist!
