Kayla is such a fantastic stylist. She listens, she gives advice, she reminds your likes and dislikes, she points out future issues with certain color and style choices and then in the end she does what the customer wants. She even foresees what the customer doesn’t realize they need and really gives the customer the best they can be. I’ve gone to her for a few years now. She’s fantastic!!! One hundred percent genuine. I know she isn’t going to short cut me, try to sell something I don’t need or screw up my color. Sometimes I come in and say “this is bugging me” and she works from that to correct the issue. She even has my dad going to her after he went there and someone else scalped him (pretty sure that girl is gone). She worked with him to get it right and now he will only go to her.

We went to this location by accident but are glad we did. Kristyna took my daughter back right away and gave her the exact cut/ style she wanted. She has a relatable personality and is a knowledgeable stylist. I would definitely recommend her, as we will be repeat customers!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I wasn’t even a client. I simply walked in to purchase shampoo and conditioner, spending around $70–$80. While I was there, I was honestly shocked by what I witnessed. Several employees came back into the salon carrying free beers, including Coronas and Michelob Ultras, right in front of me. The employee checking me out seemed to have no idea what she was doing when it came to ringing up my purchase, and I was standing there for a good 10 minutes watching everyone talk and go about their business. While I was waiting, the employee helping me also told me about a separate occasion when some of the older women who work there went to a nearby Mexican restaurant during their lunch break. She said they were drinking margaritas and/or liquor because the restaurant was closing, and that the drinks were either free or part of a special they were offering. So, to be clear, I personally witnessed employees bringing beers into the salon that day. The story about the margaritas was a separate incident that an employee voluntarily told me about. I’m a bartender, so I understand that people may choose to have a drink in certain work environments. But when you’re trusting someone with your hair, especially something as personal as your appearance, I find it extremely concerning to see alcohol being brought into a salon where people are actively working. Your hair is personal, and you’re putting a lot of trust in the person sitting behind you with scissors, color, and chemicals. If something goes wrong, you’re the one who has to leave the salon and deal with it. I actually read another review before posting this from someone who said they left the salon in tears, and after what I witnessed, I couldn’t help but wonder if situations like this could be part of the problem. I will gladly say that I will never get my hair done at Hair Cuttery, and if I ever have to use one for some reason, it absolutely will not be this location. After what I witnessed, I wouldn’t trust anyone there with my hair. Hair Cuttery, you need to do better.
