My son has been receiving tutoring for letter recognition/formation and reading over the last year and he has grown leaps and bounds! I’m so thankful for the entire staff at Grassroots, especially for his tutor, Alisa. They’ve formed a sweet relationship and I’m continually impressed by how much his skill and confidence has improved.

Two of my children began working with Brittany before COVID, and her knowledge of learning disabilities is truly extensive. Her experience with the public school system was invaluable in helping me understand how to advocate effectively for my children and ensure they received the support they needed. She worked closely with our family and our children’s teachers, creating a collaborative approach tailored to each child’s learning needs. After a few years, one of my children had gained the skills they needed and no longer required ongoing support. Our other child continued working with Brittany and still occasionally returns for skill refreshers. Brittany was not only a tremendous support for my children but also a guide and advocate for me as a parent. She is worth every bit of the time, effort, and financial investment. I am incredibly grateful for our family’s experience with her and with Grassroots Education.
Brittany and Jill at Grassroots Education have made such a difference in my son’s academic journey. With their support, James worked through organizational and learning challenges and is now about to graduate high school! He’s excited to attend a welding program, combining his love for art and hands-on work as he steps into the world of skilled trades. Thank you both for your encouragement, consistency, and support—it truly meant so much to our family. 💛
I will forever be grateful for Grassroots! My 15 year old son has made tremendous improvement over the school year and I have them to thank. He has dyslexia and school is not his favorite (understatement). I basically drug him to tutoring and now he leaves Brittany smiling and no complaints! She holds him accountable, which I like, and she has fun with him-engaging him with age appropriate conversation and interests. Brittany is a wonderful communicator with me, always explaining what they worked on and what’s up next. My son sees Jill for math and we love her too. She’s very kind and an excellent teacher. Both women encourage my son to step out of his comfort zone and because of this, he has many new skills. We will be with them until he graduates from high school!
My son’s schooling has been a bit of a struggle between public/private/ homeschooling since we moved to st Augustine last year. Grassroots came highly recommended to supplement my son’s academics until we could get settled into a good routine. We were not disappointed, Brittany has been tutoring my son in math mainly since fall 2025 and I can’t say enough great things about her style of teaching. My son actually likes to talk about his school work and even brags that he feels like he is really learning something and enjoys it. If you knew my son, you would know that’s a big statement. On a personal note, I like the house that is used for schooling the children. It has a little house on the prairie vibe.
