First Hand Custom Woodworks

My initial consultation with Brian was for him to create a floor-to-ceiling bookcase with some storage space. I would say this was a challenging build because I didn’t have a clear vision/design of what I was looking for; only needing a well planned, functional and stylish piece that went well with the architecture of the home. With his very approachable and quiet nature Brian started identifying the structural needs required for the amount of books and display pieces. Before leaving his words were ‘it will be like it’s always been there’. While there was an infinite number of ways to design and arrange this unit Brian produced a drawing to accommodate all the varying depths and storage needed and together we refined his vision always quickly answering or acknowledging my requests. In the end what I hoped for was a passable, functional, reasonable build. What I got was a magnificent focal point. It provided the anchor to the room. Together with his small team they brought creativity, precision and master craftsmanship. They were detailed oriented and tidiness to the extreme. You can tell they love what they do. It was flawless. “Like it had always been there”.

We couldn’t be happier with the custom built-in L-shape banquette Firsthand Custom Woodworks created for us. The craftsmanship is exceptional. Clean lines, perfect fit, and beautiful finishes that look like they’ve always been part of our home. The bench fits the space flawlessly, the woodwork is precise, and the overall design elevates the entire room. Communication was clear throughout the process and the final result exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for high-quality custom woodwork done right, Firsthand Custom Woodworks is the real deal. Highly recommend!

I am loving my new Custom Built-Ins that First Hand Custom Woodworks did for my home. It is absolutely stunning! Brian Graves and his crew were exceptional to work with. From start to finish, the process was seamless. Brian walked me thru ideas and updated me every step of the way. They were on time, courteous and so mindful to my home. The specific design and attention to detail were flawless, they went above and beyond. The craftsmanship is top notch. I can't wait to finish decorating. They also gave us custom coasters with our last name, what a sweet touch. Thank you Brian and crew for a fabulous job.
