We've been taking my son to Fade Zone for over a year, and we've always had a great experience. He gets his haircut and designs done by Derbin every 2–4 weeks, and the quality is always excellent. Derbin takes his time, pays attention to detail, and makes sure my son leaves looking great every visit. Scheduling appointments is easy, and they also accept walk-ins when availability allows. Everyone is professional, and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The barbers are always joking around and keeping things light, which makes the shop enjoyable to visit. When you walk in, you'll hear a lot of Spanish being spoken, but don't let that discourage you if you don't speak Spanish. Most of the barbers speak English, and if one doesn't fully understand what you're looking for, another barber is always willing to help. They work together to make sure customers get exactly what they want and provide great customer service. Even when there's a language barrier, they do their best to communicate and make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. We drive all the way from Middleburg because the service and quality are worth it. It's not always easy to find a barber you can trust, but Derbin has been amazing. Highly recommend Fade Zone to anyone looking for a great haircut, a welcoming atmosphere, excellent customer service, and a barbershop that truly cares about its customers!
Ive been coming for over a year and Harrington always gets me right. He is gentle with me, does my eyebrows, keeps my Mohawk FRESH. Sometimes I also book facials. If your female and need a barber come to the fade zone it's always respectful and full of Latin eye candy. 🤭🤭
Called to see if they take walk-in. They said yes to come in. I went and we were taken care of immediately. Samuel was the one who took care of my 10 year old son. Watching Samuel cut my son's hair was amazing. He really took his time and communicated with us to make sure we were happy. I was very pleased and so was my son. We for sure will be going back to see Samuel again. Amazing and Thank you. My son looks so Handsome with his haircut!
My husband went in to get a haircut as normal. We usually really like the way wladimir cut his hair and have been going to him for a year as it always looks super cleaned up and trimmed nice. However.. this time we were curious what they were saying as the other barbers were staring him down the whole visit. We used our live translator to find out he said "no matter how good he cut his hair it wouldn't fix his face" and blatantly called him "ugly" and pointed at his new hand tattoo and told his coworker it was "stupid'. We gave him a 100 dollar cash last time so I was shocked by this. He's always loved the way he cut his hair and appreciated it. We will never be going again now. He just requested sides trimmed and a nice hair cut.. was not trying to be a bother and thought this barbershop was friendly but this interaction wasn't cool. Even if your customers don't speak the same language as you, you should still be courteous and respectful as a business. I am Hispanic myself, and I don't understand their disrespectful behavior as we don't expect much but a friendly attitude and just came for a haircut. This was not okay. He requested sides trimmed and a nice hair cut, and beard trim which he got but the interaction was not worth the 100 dollar tip he gave him again.. even after hearing what he said about him because he does have respect. He even brought one of his good friends to give him business and have a good time. Our first time there the owner was super nice and translated for him and introduced him to wladimir. I do not get what happened today.. but my husband was disappointed because he is the only barber he's gone to for a year straight and has tipped him more than anybody else in his life. And to make it even worse.. I was the one who originally encouraged him to go get his haircut and treat himself to something since he's always working so hard and treating customers like this is not acceptable point blank.
Went in and got my own haircut, the barber did a good job other than the line up on my stash, I had to touch it up at the house which wasn’t a big deal.. the fade I had done was good, so I decided to take my son in.. bad idea.. everything was good until we got to the line up, it was terrible.. he told me he was done, and I had to point out that the line was going diagonal across my sons face.. he said okay I see it, attempted to fix it.. instead of fixing the side that needs to be fixed, he’s chopping at the opposite side pushing the line up further up, and making the line up even more diagonal across his face.. when he said he was done again, I pointed out to him how it was still crooked.. and by a lot.. now he decides to use a different razor and attempts to fix it.. he then asks me if it looked good, and tbh.. I thought he was joking, because it looked the same.. then he’s insisting it’s straight, at this point.. I kind of felt like something was wrong with him, like.. idk what he was looking at.. he called another barber over who.. that BARBER himself, told him it was indeed crooked.. he told my barber how to fix it, but when he attempted again.. my son told me it was hurting and I just called it quits and paid regretfully for the haircut without getting the results I was looking for.. i even asked him, if he thought he could fix it.. he said yeah no problem, next thing I know he’s making it worse.. it felt like I was having to coach him on how to get the line up straight.. it’s unfortunate because I actually liked the barbershop.. it’s clean, seems somewhat modern.. and obviously they do have some good barbers in there since there are more good reviews than bad.. I guess not everyone’s experience will be the same.. I wouldn’t suggest taking children here, for reference my son is 6.. he was perfectly still, and they still couldn’t make it happen..
