This place is great for kids to stay healthy and athletic. Coaches are amazing and truly care about helping the kids progress and hit goals!
Comer is amazing Trainer at this facility. My son really enjoys working out with him and he’s so good with the kids/teenagers and he make sure that they are doing everything the right way when lifting weights and working out. If your child is serious about playing football in college, he is definitely someone I would have train your child because he knows what he’s talking about.
At first, everything was great. Then they began double-booking my appointments. I would arrive at my scheduled time only to be told, “Oh, your appointment is at 3.” That makes no sense when my child gets out of school at 3p This happened several times. On other occasions, we’d show up for our usual time, and they’d insist we were early—even though we consistently booked the same slot. I originally requested a refund on 9/5 but he talked me into staying. Then I finally withdrew my son requested a refund on 9/29 since I had purchased the large package and did not use all of the training sessions. The owner assured me it would be processed within 5–7 days. It’s now been three weeks, and I’m still owed $704. In addition, the owner blamed the employee, and the trainer blamed the owner—it was constant back and forth with no accountability. This business lacks professionalism and respect.
We started my kiddo three weeks ago in the Devo 12+ group work outs because he is too young to use equipment or attend classes at our gym and we are trying to emphasize healthy habits and regular movement. I chose D1 specifically because of the convenient location and class times vs other similar programs in the area, as well as personal recommendations from friends who use D1 franchises in other states. The first class was a freebie to try it out. Although my kid plays sports he needs some conditioning and a disciplined workout routine. The first half (conditioning portion) of that first class was rough! It was definitely the toughest thing my kiddo has ever done. But by the time he was half way through the second half of the class (weights and strength portion) he was hooked and wanted to sign up. The manager gave us one more free class so we could get a good feel for the flow, which was so nice of him. The coaches are fantastic. Specifically they keep an eye on all the kids and challenge them when something is too easy or modify the movement for the specific child if necessary. The facility itself is very nice, clean and open/inviting. Plenty of places to sit while the group class takes place. Fun music plays throughout. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The equipment is in great shape and they are teaching the kids proper use and care of the facility. D1 is exactly what we were looking for and we will most likely keep our child in the classes even once he’s old enough to work out with us at our gym. You won’t regret as a parent, and your child will thank you later!
D1 is absolutely amazing. We are so grateful for everyone who works here. My kids made tremendous strides while training at D1. The owner is so kind and dedicated to everyone he works with. He consistently went above and beyond to help my kids achieve their goals, and his support gave them confidence to excel in so many ways. The atmosphere is so positive and encouraging. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience with everyone at this facility.
