Everyone was so nice and helpful before and after my surgery! Dr. Garica was the best surgeon to accomplish the results that I expected!! He was very honest about what I did and did not need . My husband was also impressed with him considering I met with 3 other surgeons . I love my results! Also Diane provided so much information in reference to my procedure and she made me feel comfortable to move forward. I’m 17 weeks post surgery and doing great ! I would trust everyone at Contoura because they are all specialist !!
I underwent several procedures with Dr. Garcia at Contoura Facial Plastic Surgery, including platysmal band surgery, chin/neck liposuction, a neck lift, mini facelift, fat transfer to the cheeks, a lower blepharoplasty, and a chemical peel. My consultation with Dr. Garcia was brief but productive. We reviewed my goals and photos, and developed a plan to address visible platysma bands, fat under my chin/neck, mild jowls, and volume loss in my cheeks. The surgical plan included platysma band repair, neck/chin liposuction, a neck lift and mini facelift, and fat grafting to the cheeks. I specifically asked about deep plane techniques and was told that approach would be used. A few weeks later I decided to add a chemical peel and lower blepharoplasty. I asked to speak directly with the doctor about these additions but was told I needed to communicate through the surgery coordinator. She relayed that the doctor approved the eyelid procedure after reviewing my photos. In hindsight, I wish I had received a more detailed consultation about potential risks before consenting. The day of surgery went smoothly. The nurses/anesthesiologist were excellent. Patients stay overnight at a nearby hotel with a nurse for monitoring. The nurse assigned to me was kind, but during the night I woke up in significant pain and had difficulty getting assistance because she had fallen asleep with earplugs in. I did not raise this issue with Dr. Garcia at the time, but mention it so the office is aware. During inital recovery I saw Dr. Garcia three times, while most follow-up visits were handled by the NP or PA. When concerns arose, I was typically asked to text photos to the office rather than speak directly with the doctor. While follow-up care was provided, the process sometimes felt impersonal. One highlight was the lymphatic massage sessions. The aestheticians were incredibly caring, informative, and reassuring throughout the healing process. Now, about eight months later, I am disappointed with my results. I invested about $22,000 and the outcome appears much more conservative than I had hoped for. My jowls are still visible, one platysma band still protrudes when I tilt my head, and I have some scarring and small white bumps beneath my eyes from the lower eyelid surgery. Overall, Dr. Garcia and the team at Contoura Facial Plastic Surgery were professional, and the surgical staff and aestheticians were excellent. However, if you are seeking a more significant facial rejuvenation result or more personalized post-operative communication, it may be helpful to consult with multiple surgeons to ensure their approach aligns with your expectations.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Garcia and his entire team. Before choosing him, I had several consultations with different doctors, but after meeting Dr. Garcia and speaking with his team, I immediately knew I had found the right surgeon. From the very beginning, they made me feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for. During my consultation, Dr. Garcia took the time to explain what was going on with my nose and what could be done to improve both its appearance and my breathing. I never felt rushed or pressured, and I really appreciated how much they prioritize their patients’ health and recovery. A few weeks before surgery, they gave me detailed instructions on what to eat, what to avoid, and what medications and supplements to take or stop taking to help prepare my body for surgery and minimize swelling and bruising. They told me I would have very little bruising, and I honestly didn’t believe them at first—but they were absolutely right! I only had slight bruising around my eyes, and by day four, it was basically gone. Following their pre-op instructions made such a difference. One of my biggest concerns was making sure my nose still looked like me. I told Dr. Garcia that I did not want an overly done, fake, or unnatural-looking nose. I wanted something natural that complemented my face, and he gave me exactly that. Even better, I can finally breathe properly! I’m only one week post-op, and I’m already amazed by the difference. I have no bruising and only a little swelling, which is completely normal this early in the healing process. I know my nose will continue to change and heal over time, but I am already so happy with what I see. Dr. Garcia, you are truly talented, and your team is incredible. Thank you for making me feel safe, cared for, and confident throughout this entire experience. I couldn’t be happier with my decision, and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Garcia and his team to anyone considering rhinoplasty.
Becky for injectables and Destin for peels, facials, and lasers. This place is AMAZING! You want to see real results? Come to Contoura. They are educated, kind, and highly skilled. Skip the nonsense fluff and come here. And if you need surgery… Dr Garcia is the best of the best. I would never let anyone else touch my face. Becky will leave you feeling refreshed, natural, and confident. Destin will give you that glow up you only thought you could achieve. Go, and thank me later 🙌
I feel disfigured instead of improved. Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with Dr. Garcia. I was an out of town patient, driving 4.5 hours each time I went to see the doctor. My facelift (which included other procedures) was an unmitigated disaster, left me with changes I find distressing. Instead of feeling refreshed and youthful again (I am 48 years old), I am now sporting a distorted jawline, hallow under eyes & elevated hairline with large amounts of hair loss from a coronal brow lift - which Dr. Garcia told me directly that I wouldn't lose any hair. I asked for a lower eye skin pinch but according to my medical records received an actual lower bleph removing the fat pockets from under my eyes so now they are shallow and dark which I never had before. When confronted with my results, I was met with dismissiveness, denial and blame-shifting. I do not feel each procedure's pros/cons, possible risks etc were broken down and clearly explained to me. Make sure you ask questions...You think you ask all the right questions until you realize there was so much more to know - yet how could you know what more to ask if you've never been through an experience like this? For example, it was never explained to me that my hairline would be raised with a brow lift? ...& the scar goes from ear to ear, across my head VERY close to my hairline - Preserving our hair and hairline at all costs at our age should be on the top of any surgeon's list. The cost was substantial and took a years to save - over $25k, but the real kicker is the thousands I'll now have to save up again to spend on correcting these mistakes - while the surgeon makes this in a day. Please do your research, I don't think credentials are all you should go by - ask for photos and more photos of YOUR procedure. Inspect them carefully. Ask more questions! Go online and ask questions there. Don't rely on cherry picked testimonials. Dr. Garcia has irreparably damaged my self esteem and trust. Im pretty sure I'll never shed this time of my life and I just wouldn't want it to happen to you. I have finally attached photos more than a year after my surgery and my original review. Included are pre-operative photos showing my face and original hairline (marked by the white headband), along with recent photos documenting the results. The current photos show a noticeable and unnatural line along my jaw, uneven texture and contour irregularities, hollowing beneath my eyes, and multiple white milia that developed after fat removal. They also show the significant elevation of my hairline, hair loss, and the widened scar resulting from the coronal brow lift. The final photo illustrates where my hairline was before surgery and the area that now requires a hair transplant to restore what was lost—an additional procedure that will come at a substantial financial cost. I truly dislike putting my face and photos online but I am posting these photos so others can see the long-term outcome of my surgery and make an informed decision. I specifically asked about deep-plane facelift techniques and was told that approach would be used. Since then, I've listened to several highly regarded surgeons from across the country and around the world, and it's become clear that not all facelifts are created equal—especially when comparing a true deep-plane facelift to the mini facelift being offered. For that reason, I would recommend getting more clarity regarding the exact technique that will be used.
