First civilian barbershop visit after getting out of the Navy. Look, Navy haircuts are either free or cheap. After almost 10 years, you get used to them and your standards adjust accordingly. Now that I'm out, I was on the hunt for a real barber shop, and Chop in Riverside absolutely fit the bill. Everybody there seemed awesome, but Joe was my barber and he did me right. Easy scheduling, quick service, and he nailed the haircut I was looking for. The price was fair too—not dirt cheap, not outrageously expensive. I was about $35 out the door after tip, which I thought was reasonable. They also offer the full barber shop experience with beard trims, shaves, and all that good stuff. Cool atmosphere, great people, fair prices, and a great haircut. I'll definitely be going back.
We’re big fans of CHOP, especially Joe! I take my 13 year old son here, and he feels so comfortable and loves the entire environment. Joe is friendly, professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in his work. Every haircut has been great! The whole shop is welcoming and courteous, and booking is super easy online. They’re also open 7 days a week, which is perfect for busy families. Walk-ins are welcome too! If you’re looking for a reliable, professional, and welcoming barbershop, definitely check out CHOP. We highly recommend Joe!
Just moved from out-of-state, and I was nervous looking for a new hair person. After making my appointment online (super easy, don’t need to pay upfront), I saw Jordan the next day. And WOW! Jordan did an amazing job. She took her time for my bald fade, and it was the best one I’ve ever had. The shop offers you a complimentary soft drink or beer while you wait. And the best part is that it was competitively priced where I felt I got an amazing deal. 1000% recommend Jordan at this shop if you’re looking for a perfect fade with scissor work on top. She even finished off with giving me some restaurant recommendations!
I first went to Chop the day before an important interview. This visit I met my current barber, Kail. I ended up getting the job and have been back every two weeks for coming up on 3 years. Occasionally, Kails schedule doesn't align with mine so I've also gone to Shea, Joe, Jordan, Heather, Rachel, and Meghan - I was happy with EACH cut. I highly recommend this barbershop. There is a genuinely warm welcome when you enter followed by the offer of a free beverage (beer or soda). They are also masters of engaging in conversation with you whether you want to talk or listen. Anxious? They'll shoot the shit amongst themselves and without contributing you'll feel included
I enjoy coming here. It has such an upbeat vibe. Jordan does a wonderful job of waxing and coloring my eyebrows. Jodi cuts my hair and I am never disappointed. A great group of employees who seem to their job and each other.
