Leisha was absolutely amazing. I had a quick weave/sew in that needed to be removed. She helped me tremendously with a removal of clumped glue, sew in and gave me a gorgeous freestyle upon exit. Go see her and her wonderful hairstyles ranging from custom wigs, braids, quick weaves, sew ins and much more. If you’re not hitting her up you’re missing out. Very professional and uses great products.
Color & silk press costed $165 for my shoulder length hair (I was quoted $135 over the phone). After she was done, Chantel sprayed a hair spray directly onto a problem area at the edges that undid the straightening and turned the area bushy within hours. I had even told her that it was a problematic spot that I particularly wanted to lay smooth. There’s nothing I can do to fix it that won’t cause more breakage or cost another expensive salon visit. The one area I wanted smooth and she ruined it with a crappy hairspray. I had even told her at the beginning of the appointment that I didn’t use any leave-in products in my hair. It was a very frustrating experience. If I could have just left before she used the spray everything would’ve been perfect. Edit: Incompetence doesn’t get more of my time & gas money. My only option is washing it out so thanks for nothing.
Great experience, I love the feeling of my hair. The owner very nice and knowledgeable about haircare and hair products. I will definitely will return.
Swan has the hands of a magician. She's knowledgeable and listen to what her client wants done. Book w her and you won't be disappointed.
I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. I booked a natural style and trim with Marnae’ after seeing several great reviews for her. I arrived to the appointment five minutes late and still waited an additional half hour to be seen. When I sat in the chair, she lightly sprayed my hair with water (it was not even damp) and then began to rake through it with a brush. I politely told her that my hair is easier to detangle when it is fully wet. She told me that my hair tends to matte and continued to dry brush through my week old wash and go curls. I expressed my concern to her again, and she proceeded to ignore me. I asked her if she was going to respond to what I said and she said, “well this is easier for me.” I have gone to several natural hair salon stylist, and never have had them rake through my hair while it is dry with a brush. The last time this happened in a salon, I was a child and it was before natural hair stylist were widespread. I know that this leads to breakage and single strand knots for me. I lost all confidence that she knew what she was doing with natural hair and told her that I was done and got up and left. I paid a $35 nonrefundable deposit and all I am left with is disappointment. Update: Swan provided a full refund of my deposit; she was very professional and amiable.
