Dr. Lawless cared for my dog throughout her entire 17-year life, and I truly believe she lived that long because of his expertise and compassion. He was always incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. I never once doubted his recommendations—when my dog needed specialized care, he referred us to excellent clinics, and his diagnoses were always accurate, right up to the very end. When the time came to say goodbye, I chose in-home euthanasia with a visiting vet, and Dr. Lawless fully supported that decision. Even after her passing, he took the time to personally call me and offer words of comfort. His staff was also exceptional—especially in her final months, they were attentive, supportive, and quick to answer any questions I had. Some veterinarians are truly exceptional, and Dr. Lawless is one of them. He’s one of those rare doctors who you wish would never retire. Simply put, he is the best!

Dr. Lawless looked after my dog for many years, and I always felt she was in the best hands. He consistently showed compassion, professionalism, and a deep understanding of her needs. Anytime something came up, his guidance was thoughtful and spot on. It’s rare to find a vet who brings that level of care to both pets and their people. Dr. Lawless truly stands out
Dr. Lawless has taken INCREDIBLE care of my dogs for well over 20 years! He is my favorite veterinarian, and I know that I can’t his recommendations 100%. Thank you, Dr. Lawless, and the entire Beach St. Johns Animal Hospital team!!!
I went two times with my Puppy. First time was shady. Second time i felt alienated. Steered me wrong with advice on dog food after dog had been sick with diarrhea. Staff was rude. Walked in and didn't acknowledge me was talking amongst themselves and I was ignored. Asked for shot records and took 3 tries to get what I needed. Left and never returned. Awful customer service.
Dr. Lawless is super smart and a great surgeon! He's so gentle and loving towards my pet. I drive past at least 10 Vets closer to me to get to him! He's your Vet!!! Love his staff too💓
