Great people running animal control. Ms Goergia and Tammy are doing a tuff job with very little financials. but does a wonderful job taking care of the animals with what donation they receive. They could always use more donations.
I have read negative comments about them but my experience was completely the opposite. I chased a little dog down that was running in and out of traffic by Uhaul and the apartment that run along side of it. He then dart across lowder and back narrowly missing getting hit. Finally with the help of a little girl. He was captured ,taken to the vet but no chip found. Given flea meds and checked over he was fine. I was able to locate his family they cheerfully agreed to take him. When I took him in they were wonderful and the next day he was ready to go out for adoption clinic in Jax. That's why when I got ready to move into Town. I bagged up the dog stuff I couldn't use and blanket ECT and dropped them off. Please remember all shelters can use leashes, dog bowls. Blankets, beds, harness, collars, some like dogs chairs or love seats to help animals feel more like home. On furniture though please call and ask and dont take your junk.
Clean as a whistle! The animals were well taken care of. Lots of beautiful dogs. Good work done by miss Georgia and a very helpful young man, whose name I didn't catch.
We adopted our Grim a year ago and he has been amazing, the process was simple and Mrs. Georgia was friendly and very helpful getting us set with first vet appt and supplies we might need.
Georgia Munfort is such a caring director of this facility. She was very professional and supportive of my animal dilemma. She is certainly one of our county's unsung heroes.! She does her best for the interest of your beloved fur baby! Cudos to Georgia and I appreciate all her help, concern, and support. Job well done Ms. Munfort! Charita Hurst
