  I am beyond shocked at the audacity of Justin Buchanan, one of the loan originators for Annie Mac. I was looking to do a refinance loan on my home, and reached out to multiple different vendors. I was contacted by Justin, and supplied him with the basic information about the property and the loan amount we were looking for. He did the basic estimate and I was absolutely SHOCKED. Our home appraised at roughly $340k, he had used a $380k estimate for the rough draft, and the APR and monthly payment (before insurance and taxes) was extremely high. I found another vendor, CrossCountry mortgage, who actually UNDERVALUED the home and got us the exact numbers we were looking for in terms of monthly payment and APR. Needless to say, I stopped responding to Justin, who texted/called multiple times a week. I work 5 days a week and was also in the process of doing some minor repairs for the FHA loan we were getting. Finally, I answered his call and told him that we had closed with another company and that I wouldn't need AnnieMac's services any further. Before we got off the line, he made the remark "Well, thanks for wasting my time." I was very polite in telling him that we had closed with another company, even apologizing for not getting back to him sooner. For that to be the way he treats someone who simply decided to go with another company is not only ridiculous but extremely unprofessional. Watch out, they will overvalue your property and do not get competitive rates AT ALL. Please get quotes from multiple different agencies. On a final note, the appraisal was done after the initial quote from CrossCountry. I initially told both lenders that the house was probably valued at about $280k since that was the best info I could find. So it shocked me when Justin's initial estimate was not only $100k overvalued, but the interest rate and monthly payments were nowhere near feasible. CrossCountry got us better rates, better payments (even after taxes and insurance were escrowed) and they undervalued us on the estimate by $30k. All-around just an unpleasant experience and the disrespect when ending the phone call just threw me over the edge.
