6.23.26 I fostered Dancing Queen A1478977, a 2y/o blk/white mixed breed, during my extended holiday weekend. It's my pleasure to have spent that time with her. She's playful with puppy energy, friendly w/ ppl & loves belly rubs. Also is clever & would enjoy enrichment tasks. She'd love an owner with a fit/active lifestyle as well as enjoy being sprawled out on the sofa/bed during rest time. My prayer is that she finds her forever home soon that is the perfect fit. FYI - there's also a stray Malinois mix stray that was brought to the shelter that I met while I was there and needs someone who is experienced in training & we the special abilities of this breed

Couldn't be happier with our new kitten. This place provides an important service to all of us in Jacksonville. Plan to spend a little bit of time waiting for staff to be able to help you. They're busy and it seems like everyone there wears many hats. They seem to be doing the best with what limited resources they have.

Opened on time. Everyone was super nice.my son and I actually adopted our first dog "Sid the sloth." Lol they were very transparent about the dog in telling me all his info so I would know what he needed. We have had him for a week now and couldn't be happier. A friend of mine from work adopted her dog from here as well and recommended this place to me and she has been very happy with her dog as well.

This shelter cares more about money than the safety of animals. My family and I fell in love with a dog yesterday and prepaid to pick her up tomorrow (we weren’t allowed to take her the same day because she had to be spayed and updated on shots). We were told the previous owner had gotten evicted and that the dog (Quest) has been there about a month. They also stated that the owner would owe $500 to get the dog back. They NEVER told us there was a chance the owner could still reclaim the dog even after we filled out the paperwork. Also the timing… I’m under the impression they reached out to the previous owner to let them know she was getting adopted. My family is stable, has 2 acres and my children would have given her so much love. We were all so excited, we had a custom name tag made today and purchased over $300 in toys, grooming ect. Their response- they said we could transfer our prepayment to another dog.
