Amelia Hotel at the Beach

The BEST experience we've ever had in the past 5 years we've been visiting Amelia Island FL from Folly Beach South Carolina! It's so clean and comfortable and the customer service is amazing! Everyone who works there makes us feel welcome and we prefer to stay here rather than The Omni Resort. It's by far the best hotel on Amelia Island FL! Everyone is so happy and friendly and we are actually having Our Wedding Guests stay here for Our Wedding later on in the year. It's extra special to us because My Fiancee and I actually conceived a child during one of Our Romantic Florida Beach Getaways. We actually named her " Amelia" after the hotel. The friendliest people we've ever met and each time we come, we meet more and more successful, intelligent, like minded people that are vacationing and I'm very pleased. If I could give it 10 Stars, I would.

We picked this location in a hurry and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and easy to access. The location of the property is directly across from the ocean and driving access for 4WD vehicles for beach access. There is also a wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner spot across the street that was great. The breakfast included at hotel was great selection options and a very homey feel dining room. We will save this location for future trips here.

You’re definitely paying for being across the street from the beach we dealt with one guy at the front desk who definitely does not like his job kind of rude, but then we dealt with another lady one night and she was very nice and kind the room had a very interesting smell the entire four days that we were there. The couch is stained so is the chair things definitely need to be replaced. I can’t tell if it’s an old building or just lack of being taken care of through the years. The Brecfest was good.. they changed it out every day it seemed like. We didn’t get told in anything !!! But you have to pay 15$ a day for parking! We found out when we went to cheak in and get our keys.

Location is amazing. Right across from the beach adm there’s a great restaurant on the beach across from the hotel. There’s a pizza place behind it and DQ across the street. Bike and chair rental right across the street… BUT this is a very old hotel and it shows. Dirty baseboards, low end linens on the beds and mediocre mattresses. Bathroom has old tube and a straight bar for the shower curtain. I understand it has been sold and new owners will renovate.
