The William’s House is a true gem in the heart of Fernadina Beach’s historic district. Nestled among beautiful, tree-lined streets, it’s in a wonderful walkable location with charming shops and restaurants nearby. The house itself is beautiful, with inviting rocking chairs on both upstairs and downstairs porches,-perfect for relaxing. During our stay, a nearby hurricane, brought plenty of rain, so we were especially grateful for the umbrellas thoughtfully provided for guests. Our room was well appointed and comfortable, Veronica, the owner and innkeeper made our stay truly enjoyable. She was gracious and welcoming and each morning prepared a delicious breakfast, served on china, complete w homemade bread. Even the coffee was exceptional! It was such a treat to begin each morning this way! The evening social hour w wine was another lovely experience to unwind and meet other guests. As an added bonus, there are 2 ev chargers on her property. If you’re looking for a beautiful historic inn w genuine Southern hospitality, thoughtful amenities and a fantastic location, the William’s House is an excellent choice. Veronica has created a welcoming and memorable experience and we would happily stay here again!
Our stay at the Williams House on Amelia Island in October 2026 was, in a word, delightful! From the moment we passed through the beautiful wrought-iron gate adorned with its fleur-de-lis design, we felt as though we had stepped back in time to 1856. Moreover, the stunning architecture, exquisite woodwork, soft music, and warm, inviting atmosphere made the entire experience truly special. Beyond that, the breakfast prepared by our wonderful host, Veronica, was absolutely delicious, while her gracious hospitality made us feel right at home. Without question, this was one of the finest bed-and-breakfast experiences we have ever had, and we are already looking forward to returning again soon!
My wife and I enjoyed two very relaxing days with Veronica and her staff. The Williams house Is a classic southern mansion with beautiful rooms and a strategically located so that you can walk to dinner to any number of restaurants. Veronica also provides good insight on the restaurants as well as other things to do around the island. Definitely would recommend Williams house as an ideal stay for someone that wants to experience, southern charm along with fantastic service and the meals that Veronica and her staff prepare are well worth a visit. My wife and I are looking forward To our next stay.
We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary. We stayed in Snugglers Cove which had its own private balcony. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal. So tasty and the accommodations for my husbands celiac disease didn’t impact the amazing food!! And Veronica the Innkeeper was so attentive and helpful, offering great recommendations on restaurants and activities. The location was ideal. Nice and quiet but close enough to walk to the historic area and the water. It was a great surprise that they have a Tesla charger that was complimentary too! Highly recommend!
We booked Amelia Island Williams House online having never been there before or knew anyone else that stayed there. We found the Williams House a delightful getaway and enjoyed our stay. Our room was nicely appointed and comfortable. The bedding was so lush! Breakfasts were unique and delicious. Proximity to most things of interest were conveniently located. Veronica was a most gracious hostess. If we ever venture back to Amelia Island we would most definitely stay here again.
