Achieve Fitness

I held off on writing this review for quite a while because I was hoping my experience was just due to an off week or month. Unfortunately, after revisiting the gym over time, I’ve found that the issues I initially noticed haven’t improved. I originally joined because I wanted a place to work out early in the morning without disturbing my family. Since I already have a home gym, this wasn’t a necessity, but rather a convenience. I also chose this location over Planet Fitness because it offers a better range of weights and a more focused lifting environment, which still holds true. There are definitely positives worth noting. The staff has always been courteous and professional in my interactions with them. The gym is well-equipped, including a versatile calisthenics area, and from a functionality standpoint, the equipment appears to be well maintained and rarely out of service. Overall, the facility has the foundation to be a really great gym. That said, the primary concern I’ve experienced is cleanliness and general upkeep. Given the gym’s size and the fact that it appears to be consistently staffed, I found the level of cleanliness both surprising and disappointing. For example: - The free weight area consistently appears dusty and unmaintained. On one recent visit, a bench I intended to use had a visible layer of dust and debris, suggesting it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. This may also point to a potential issue with air circulation or filtration that’s allowing buildup to accumulate on equipment. - The flooring in that same area is heavily marked and does not appear to be regularly cleaned. The bathrooms show signs of neglect, including stains near sinks and trash areas that look like they haven’t been addressed for some time. - There has been a hole in the ceiling of the men’s restroom that has remained unrepaired for an extended period. Locker policies don’t seem to be consistently enforced. While signage indicates lockers are cleared daily, there are clearly long-term claims, and during one stretch of about two weeks, the same personal item remained in a locker without being addressed. - Additionally, the membership structure still reflects older industry practices, such as annual-style commitments, startup fees, and delayed cancellations, which may be frustrating for some members—though I do appreciate that a monthly option is still available. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it’s taken constructively. I’ve now had two separate memberships spaced out over time, and I was genuinely hoping to see improvement between them. While the gym has many strengths, maintaining a clean and well-kept environment is essential and would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

The is a great gym. The staff is super friendly, the trainers are Amazing and they have so many classes to choose from.

They have equipment you won’t find anywhere else! You can book a massage, a chiropractor and a personal trainer all in one stop! Excellent services for a super price!

I entered free as a guest and only used their Rowing Machine (concept2). Seemed like a good exercise gym. Clean, uncrowded and conveniently located in Green Cove Springs. Friendly and helpful however the benefits they offer are to numerous to mention. Visit their website for all the benefits they offer.
