In my many years of CrossFit, I’ve come to realize it’s incredibly difficult to find a gym that truly has it all. Most gyms lean heavily in one direction or another, great programming but little sense of community, an incredible community but limited space or equipment, or beautiful facilities without the culture to match. 4 Waves has managed to bring all of those pieces together. What separates 4 Waves, though, is the culture. From the early morning classes (my admittedly biased favorite) to the afternoon classes, the environment is consistently warm, welcoming, and encouraging. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first CrossFit class or you’ve been doing it for years, the people make you feel like you belong. There is a place for everyone here, regardless of age or fitness level. That starts with the coaches, but it’s carried by the members. People celebrate PRs (Personal Records), encourage the person finishing last just as enthusiastically as the one finishing first, and genuinely want to see each other succeed. One of the coolest things to watch is a new member accomplish something they never thought possible and see the entire gym celebrate it as if it were their own achievement. Culture is easy to talk about but much harder to build. It’s not something you create overnight, and it’s not something you can fake. It’s something people feel the moment they walk through the door, and that’s exactly what 4 Waves has built. If you’re looking for a gym where you’ll be challenged, supported, and surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you succeed, I can’t recommend 4 Waves highly enough.
Over my 12+ years of doing CrossFit I have been fortunate to drop in and CrossFit in locations all over the world. So believe me when I tell you that 4 Waves Athletics is one of the BEST! Super knowledgeable coaching staff, excellent supportive community, scalable options, all the equipment you could ever want, great programming and ALWAYS clean! So if you are considering CrossFit I would highly recommend giving them a try!
If you’re looking for a gym that truly has it all, I can’t recommend 4 Waves CrossFit enough! The coaches are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, whether you’re brand new to CrossFit or have years of experience. They genuinely care about helping every member succeed. The class schedule is fantastic, with plenty of options to fit even the busiest schedules. But what really sets 4 Waves apart is the community. From day one, we felt like family. Everyone encourages each other, celebrates victories together, and makes showing up something you actually look forward to. If you’re thinking about joining a gym, stop looking and give 4 Waves CrossFit a try. It’s an amazing place with amazing people, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!
If you’re searching for a CrossFit gym in Northeast Florida with an incredible community, you need to check out Four Waves CrossFit. The community is hands down the best part — everyone is welcoming, supportive, and genuinely excited to see you improve. The coaches truly care, and it shows in every class. Another huge bonus? They have air-conditioning. Most CrossFit boxes in our area don’t, and having AC makes the workouts so much more enjoyable, especially in Florida heat. Every class is fun, challenging, and something I actually look forward to. If you’re Googling “CrossFit near me,” “best CrossFit gym,” “CrossFit community,” or “CrossFit Northeast Florida,” you’ll be glad you found Four Waves CrossFit.
Great community and amazing gym for anyone. They are great about welcoming all fitness levels. If you have never done CrossFit before they will make sure that you learn the right techniques and form.
