The final straw: WC refused to pay the electricians who saved our project and WC from a lawsuit — leaving us facing a lien. WC fixed what they broke when identified. We share this as a heads-up for what working with them entails. Contracted for a $250,000+ remodel, WC remains in breach of contract, refuses to honor their warranty, and still owes ~$2,000 after we withheld ~$5,000. By November, legal counsel was needed to get home before Christmas and upcoming surgery. SCHEDULE: Originally July 2025. Actual: December 2025 — 5 months late after wasting 4 months on permits alone. Damage and mistakes kept expanding scope, with county and health permitting falling to us to expedite. MANAGEMENT: Main PM was remodeling his own home. Three PMs rotated with little communication — every conversation repeated from scratch. We had to set up weekly meetings and write notes and summaries. SOURCING: I managed sourcing of flooring, tile, fixtures, and lighting. Their untrained employee made repeated errors, materials arrived uninspected, and WC dumped supplies in rooms outside scope. WC had insufficient storage room for materials onsite and at their offices. SITE CONDITIONS: No porta-potty most of the project. Workers and the AC owner openly urinated on the property, used our bathroom, and left it unsanitary. Beer cans from different crews raised safety concerns. Unprotected rooms damaged custom cabinetry. QUALITY: Master bedroom not framed at right angles — doors off center. Tile done well. We hope roof and structure prove sound. At $250,000+, no one should fight this hard — including hiring legal counsel — for basic professionalism and respect for their home.
My roof was 17 years old and leaking. My insurance carrier sent me a non renewal notice, so prompt replacement was needed. I met with several contractors after checking the Better Business, sunbiz and Yelp for reviews. I chose World Construction as they were prompt and professional. I am a property claims adjuster and have been on many a roof. I have been patronized and dismissed as a woman homeowner in the past. Brian Wilkins was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. I am very pleased with my roof. The roofers were able to install the shingles roof in one day. The roof is 6/12 pit hed with multiple slopes. The rotten sheathing and soffits were replaced also. So my story has a happy ending. My non renewal was reversed and my roof doesn't leak!
I couldn’t be happier with my new roof that was installed by World Construction. Besides replacing the existing roof. They created a pitch on the flat portion of the roof to eliminate the standing water issue that had always existed. They also replaced the 50 year old air conditioning duct work that was on the roof and had always been a problem. Trey Jeffries monitored the job from beginning to the end and Jose and his crew performed a completely professional installation. This was by far the best roofing job I’ve ever had on my home.
Excellent contractor with strong professionalism and quality workmanship. The renovation was completed smoothly, on schedule, and exactly as planned. Good communication throughout the project and very transparent pricing. The team was hardworking and detail-oriented. Highly recommended for any construction work.
