Women's Care of Orange Park

The Women's Care Center in Oakleaf just needs to train their reception personnel better. When I walked in, I checked in on the wrong side. I asked if I needed to go next door, through the glass doors and all they said was yes. I wasn't told I needed to check in again. When I walked in to the other office, before sitting down I said hi to the receptionist. She said hi back and nothing else. So I sat down. I waited a half an hour before going up and asking when I was going to be seen. The receptionist then asked if I even had an appointment. I told her I did and She said she had canceled it even though I was sitting right in front of her. Simply asking if I have an appointment or if I needed anything would have resolved everything. It was very disappointing because I had been there for 45 minutes. Receptionists should be aware of the people in the reception area - especially when I was the only one there for well over 20 minutes.

Scheduled new patient appointments for me, my mother, and my daughter as our doctor moved. They called me to tell me that they can't have 4 new patients in a day and one of us needed to move our appointment. I explained that I am the driver for all three of us and that if one appointment moves they all have to. I asked if she could just move the one patient instead of the three of us and she said that lady absolutely could not come in another day. I explained that neither could we. 2 of us already requested the day off and I also had three other appointments scheduled in the am that I would now have to move. She did not care. One of us had to move to accommodate someone else. So for giggle I asked when the next day was the three of us could get in, and when she got to July 20th I said just cancel them. Absolutely ridiculous.

The staff was friendly and professional. I had all of my questions answered, and I did not feel rushed. The team went out of their way to help me feel comfortable with the upcoming procedure.
