I was truly surprised by the amount of things there were to look at in this museum, and I was impressed from the moment I stepped foot inside. It is extremely detailed, with every single inch of every room offering so much to take in. It was honestly a wonderful surprise to come in here, and I ended up spending a significant amount of time here. Definitely worth a stop here.
One of my favorite places of all those we visited as we explored St Augustine. Stunning architecture, so many rare and beautiful art objects and fascinating history. I enjoyed the detailed and informative self guided audio tour. We were greeted warmly by the woman at the front desk. So grateful to the family who own this magical place for their loving stewardship of this museum.
Beautiful museum with great audio tour. Gave lots of background and descriptions. Loved the bright colors and furniture. Definitely a must see. Such interesting history and one of a kind decor.
Villa Zorayda Museum was a unique visit on our trip to St. Augustine. The Moorish-inspired architecture is absolutely stunning, it feels like a tiny piece of Spain right in the heart of Florida. Inside, the self-guided audio tour takes you through fascinating history, unique antiques and beautiful design details that you won’t find anywhere else. The collection mixes art, antiques and quirky artifacts (including some truly unexpected pieces) in a way that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The staff was friendly and ready to answer questions, and the whole visit felt both educational and enjoyable. Highly recommend it if you love history, architecture, or just want something a little different and special on your St. Augustine itinerary. ✨
The Villa is fascinating! I was there for a wedding that occurred after normal museum hours but had time to stroll around and view many of the museum pieces. If you like history this museum brings together art and architecture from various parts of the world. Olivia represented the venue and was welcoming in the wedding guests. She was friendly and attentive to each guest. I enjoyed chatting with her about the Villa’s history and her family’s relationship to the museum.
