We visited the bustling Vilano Landing Boat Ramp on a weekend in September 2026 amidst a fishing tournament event. There was live music, a full parking lot, Sheriff's officers, boats loading and unloading, and all types of birds gracing the scene. There is plenty of parking space, a very wide boat ramp in excellent condition, and a couple of docks to tie off. We saw a couple of friendly porpoises swimming nearby. The Vilano Landing Boat Ramp offers an awesome access point to the Tolomato and Matanzas rivers to see so many cool sights: Lions Bridge, Francis and Mary Usina Bridge, the St. Augustine Marina, beaches, sailboats, jet skis, yachts, restaurants, the Great Cross at the Mission Nombre de Dios, Historic Downtown St. Augustine, the Historic Seawall, the the Old Fort/Castillo de San Marcos, boat tours, and luxurious waterfront homes. Epic sight-seeing to be accessed by using the Vilano Boat Ramp!

The only large boat ramp in town until the 312 ramp completes construction. Vilano ramp has a bait & tackle store on site, HUGE plus! Prices there are reasonable. Tons of parking but get there very early on beautiful weekend days, gets wildly busy and can be stressful if you're not a regular there! Can easily accommodate larger boats
It is great that the ramp is 3 to 4 vehicles wide. That helps move the line along. The dirt and gravel in the parking lot is terrible. It sticks in your shoes and gets in your boat. It needs to be paved or pour cement. They also need to give tickets out to cars that park on the vehicle with trailer spaces.
Great ramp, 5 or so boats wide. The Bait shack is awesome, lots of live bait and tackle.
Great ramp and docks and a bait store with clean restrooms. The parking lot is designed to acomodate vehicles with trailers.
