Trail Looks Good, Parking is OK... It's on the Side of the Road. Has Bathrooms, and Picnic Tables. EDIT : Water Fountains Now are Working, Bathroom is Better. Good Job.
Clean and well maintained restrooms. There's a picnic table for a snack after a bike ride.
Just completed a fantastic 28-mile round trip on the St. Augustine to Palatka State Trail, and I'm thoroughly impressed! I started at the Vermont Road trailhead and rode eastward to East Palatka, enjoying every mile. Trail Condition: The trail was in absolutely great condition. The surface was smooth and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and enjoyable ride. No potholes, cracks, or debris to contend with, which is crucial for a long haul like this. Route & Distance: My round trip from the Vermont Road trailhead to East Palatka clocked in at a satisfying 28 miles. The trail offered a pleasant mix of scenery, and the distance provided a good workout. Amenities: A definite highlight was the general store located approximately 4 miles west of the Vermont Road trailhead. This is a fantastic resource for riders needing a quick snack, drink, or even a short break. Knowing there's a reliable stop along the way adds to the overall experience. Overall Impression: The St. Augustine to Palatka State Trail is a gem! The excellent trail condition, coupled with the convenient general store, makes it a highly recommended destination for cyclists of all levels. Whether you're looking for a leisurely ride or a more challenging workout, this trail delivers. I'll definitely be back to explore more of its length.
Nice rail-to-trail paved bike trail.
Excellent place to park with restrooms. Bike trail right there and we rode to Hastings and back. It was about 20 miles round trip. Covered with trees most of the way but some open areas.
