Our small group had a fantastic outing with Ayolane! We paddled Lake Ocklawaha, explored old locks and wound our way through channels to springs not even listed on Google maps. The wonderful thing about Ayolane is the stories he tells along the way, his insights on the environment and the opportunity he gave us to sit and just listen to nature. Well worth the trip and would do it again!
This was great! Exactly what we were looking to do. The guide was great and new a lot about the area. It was a nice relaxing paddle down the creek, saw a manatee noshing on some grass, and took a break in silence to the wildlife return to normal around us without out our banging around. Do it, it was a good day.
This review is from my husband, Rick. He is enjoying his time with Earth Kinship! I stumbled upon Earth Kinship via their thoughtfully produced pamphlet while at a local area business. An employee at the business had personal awareness of Ayolane and what his business offers. It was a glowing testimonial. Although I have significant kayaking experience, I was intrigued by what the pamphlet explained and offered. I am new to northeast Florida and unfamiliar with the waterways and paddling opportunities. I felt it would be a good idea to take advantage of this opportunity so I went to the website and signed up for a 2.5 hour kayak experience on Deep Creek in Hastings Florida. Ayolane contacted me via an actual telephone call in a timely manner to introduce himself and to iron out the details of my scheduled experience. We had a great conversation and I felt very comfortable moving forward and was excited for the day to arrive. The meeting place at the launch is in a remote area on rt 207 just west of the intersection with rt 206. Although I pride myself on arriving early to any appointment, Ayolane was already there and set up. Once the other participants arrived, Ayolane provided key safety information and an overview of paddling techniques as he began sharing copious amounts of information on the flora , fauna, and history of Deep Creek. Our group had a fantastic time adventuring with Ayolane. A particular highlight was a pod of manatees which interacted with us for about 15 minutes. That marked my most in-depth observations of manatees in their natural environment. Remarkable! Ayolane has vast knowledge of Deep Creek which he generously shares. I enjoyed the experience so much, I re-booked another adventure with Earth Kinship 2 weeks later! Looking forward my next adventure with earth Kinship as they offer a variety of adventures on the water and on land! Clearly, I encourage anyone considering a guided wilderness experience to contact Ayolane at Earth Kinship. Enjoy!
We recently had the opportunity to kayak Deep Creek with AyoLane and it was wonderful! Having been on this creek with another guide a couple of times, I didn't know how much new I would experience, but I learned so much. AyoLane's extensive knowledge and passion for the flora and fauna was awesome and his offer to let us sit and experience it more at the midpoint of our trip was so cool. Being in nature with someone like him just heightens your appreciation and connection! It was a beautiful trip and we'd definitely book with Earth Kinship again, as he guides kayak tours in many places. Highly recommend! Thank you AyoLane!
I had an amazing experience with Earth Kinship Kayak Tours exploring the natural beauty of Florida. The tour was the perfect mix of peaceful paddling and exciting wildlife sightings. We saw great blue herons, turtles basking in the sun, and even a few alligators —an unforgettable encounter with Florida’s natural wildlife. AyoLane, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the environment. He provided fascinating insights into the unique ecosystems and pointed out native plants and animals along the way. The flora was just as impressive as the fauna, with lush greenery framing the water and making you feel completely immersed in nature. The tour was well-paced and beginner-friendly, making it ideal whether you're new to kayaking or just looking to slow down and enjoy the outdoors. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience Florida beyond the beaches. It’s a serene, educational, and inspiring way to connect with the nature.
