Had a great breakfast at Uptown Kitchen and Bar. Our server, Kristen, was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our food had great flavor and came out quickly. We got the breakfast sandwich, biscuits and gravy and added a pancake. Will definitely be back.
It was very busy and it was a holiday so the wait was not that bad. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were out of this world. I have never heard of oxtails and grits, but it was delicious. As was the catfish, salmon and everything else we had will absolutely be back is a true gem of Jacksonville.
My first time here and it was a great experience! We ordered the oxtail omelette with grits and a pancake, as well as the catfish and grits. The catfish was super flavorful and went really well with the Gouda grits. The omelette came with so much oxtail, I was definitely impressed. Great food and a satisfying first visit!
Don’t forget to try those seafood balls too!!! Ooh and the fried green tomatoes! We enjoyed every bite and finished it the next morning. Happy we stayed, the estimated 1 hour wait ended up only being 15 minutes.
Baby girl Maddie was amazing, kind and she always smiled, food came out fast with a touch of love… the oxtail and grits was tender and the portions amazing. I got a Hennessy mimosa and it was hit the spot, plus poured to perfection. 10/10 for a secret little date night spot on a Thursday… fastest service in Springfield.
