Amazing food, excellent service. Very authentic atmosphere. We loved all our appetizers, the ramens and the pork katsu. The desert was heavenly ( fluffy pancakes).
It was superrr busy and packed here but, this place is so cute and the atmosphere smelled yummy. Me and my four friends came and it was about a 10 min wait; which was not bad at all considering the amount of ppl. We all ordered some ramen besides my one friend. They got the katsu chicken plate. When I tell you this is the absolute best ramen I’ve had, the food was delicious and so good. They were super short staffed and there was literally one lady doing everything. But it didn’t even feel like she was by herself working (she was that good). My friends and I will be back. 10/10 recommend!
The food was definitely the highlight of our visit. The ramen was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were great, and it was the kind of bowl you actually want to finish even after you’re full. We also tried the Hamburg Sando, which was very good and another standout. Based on the food alone, hands down this place is 5 stars. Unfortunately, the service was a different experience. Our waitress was inattentive and came across as rude, which really took away from an otherwise great meal. We often felt like getting her attention or asking for something was an inconvenience. The atmosphere was also great, so it’s disappointing that the service brought the overall experience down to 3 stars. I would come back for the ramen and sando without hesitation, but I’d definitely hope for a different service experience next time.
Went Feb 14, 2026. Amazing food. The japanese beef curry had a great, thicc gravy that went really well with the rice and pickled pieces. Shishito peppers were on point and had a great flame grilled lick to them. And the japanese pancake was very light, not sweet, but nice strawberry topping! The curry tonkatsu was like a fusion of Thai and Japanese flavors and also was delicious! Place is a nice little hidden gem!
Umami Curry & Ramen has become one of our favorite spots, and we’ve been here many times with both family and friends. The food is consistently delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every bowl of ramen and every dish we’ve tried has been rich, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. What truly sets this place apart is the service. The owner is always present, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She is on top of everything, always smiling, happy, and going out of her way to make sure everyone feels taken care of. You can really feel the passion and pride she has for the restaurant, and it shows in both the food and the overall experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal whether you’re with family, friends, or even visiting for the first time. Consistency, quality, and excellent service are hard to find, and Umami Curry & Ramen delivers all three every single time. Highly recommended. We will absolutely keep coming back.
