Great local spot! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were very generous. Pricing is competitive compared to the big chain franchises. It’s also owner-operated, and the owner was very nice and welcoming. Great quality, value, and service. Definitely recommend Tikka Bowls and Tacos! Halal options available as well.
You ever want to just try something different?! Whelp, I Googled Indian while in the neighborhood and noticed Tikka Bowls and Tacos. Now I'll be the 1st to admit, the name threw me for a loop... I mean Indian and Mexican fusion??? Decided to give it a try and really wished I would have followed my instinct. The food was blah and sooo far from authentic Indian food.. it was more like a Chipolte dupe even down to the bowls. I had the goat which the server kept adding liquid which is why it looks like goat stew instead of a bowl... may have been better off ordering the chicken. Okay, then I ordered the garlic Naan which is the furthest thing from Naan, its really some sort of pre-done, thick pita bread with garlic spead on after being heated. I mean its ok for a quick meal as long as you are NOT expecting genuine Indian food. Will I return? NEVER.
We discovered Tikka Bowls and Tacos completely by accident and I’m so glad we did. Sometimes the best meals happen when you take a chance on a place you’ve never heard of, and this was definitely one of those moments. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were genuinely excited to talk about the food and share the story behind the restaurant, which made the experience feel much more personal than your typical quick meal. The concept is really unique, blending Indian flavors with Mexican-style dishes, and it works surprisingly well. The menu lets you customize bowls, tacos, and other items with different proteins, sauces, and spice levels, so whether you prefer mild flavors or something with real heat, there’s an option for you. We decided to try the naan tacos, and they absolutely hit the spot. The naan makes an amazing base, soft and flavorful, and the fillings were packed with bold spices and fresh ingredients. Every bite had that perfect balance of comfort food and something a little adventurous. Another highlight was the drink selection. They offer specialty beverages from India, including beer, which added a fun cultural touch to the meal. On top of the great food, the portions were generous and the value was excellent. You leave feeling like you got a fantastic meal and a great experience without breaking the bank. If you’re looking to try something different in Orlando and want flavors that really stand out, Tikka Bowls and Tacos is definitely worth a visit. We walked in randomly and left already planning our next trip back.
I really wanted to love this place. The concept of Indian-Mexican fusion is genuinely exciting, and the staff seemed warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the execution fell short of what I was hoping for. I ordered the goat biryani, vegetable samosas, smoked tikka chicken wings, and garlic naan. The biryani had a noticeable layer of oil pooled at the bottom of the bowl, which is not something I have encountered before in any biryani, even with goat. The samosas had a filling that tasted more like over-seasoned mashed potatoes with frozen peas than the spiced vegetable blend I was expecting. The tikka chicken wings lacked both seasoning and the smoky flavor they were described as having, and the chicken itself was overcooked. The garlic naan came out more like flatbread with a raw garlic butter mixture drizzled on top rather than the roasted, pillowy naan I was hoping for. I am a huge fan of Indian and Mexican food, and genuinely love the idea behind this restaurant. I hope the kitchen gets a chance to refine these dishes, because the bones of something special are here. I am rooting for them, but I cannot recommend the food at this time.
Interesting place with a strong resemblance of chipotle but interestingly integrating Indian cuisine into the menu. The meat contains goat as a choice, the source has tikka masala as the main component. The drink has mango lassi. If you like chipotle you will enjoy the taste of this food here.
