I had a single tooth implant with Dr. Stakem a few years ago. I am in the process of having additional implants with a different periodontist. The implant Dr. Stakem performed was described by my current periodontist as "botched". He showed me photos of the implant completely exposed through the bone. The tip of the implant was nearly coming through my gum line causing an abscess. Thousands of wasted dollars. The botched job will be removed and repaired in January.

I had a tooth removed today and dr stakem and sinuses were absolutely amazing I was so nervous going in there I was having panic attacks n anxiety and they made me feel so comfortable definitely will be going back if I need anymore work done 😘😘
I cant possibly say enough good things about The Dr and Staff. Making the journey to get my smile back better. I was treated with such great kindness and professionalism.
I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed. Because I had cavities in them & the pain of one of them was so bad that it compromised me at work & I got a wright up. (I couldn`t call in like I needed to Their fault if you ask me, especially since this was only the 2nd time that I would have had to call in for that job in 3 years, going on 4!) Anywho, I let it get to that point because I was having trouble finding a in network doctor, & I was terrified to get this procedure! I kept chickening out on my appointments. Thought it was going to be a terrible recovery, like signing up to be sick. Finally my cavity was causing me so much pain that I had no choice but to get it out! I decided to Start with the tooth causing me the pain & do them 1 tooth at a time per appointment with local anesthesia, witch you don`t have to get you can choose to not be awake for the procedure, or do local anesthesia instead. But I finally had to get my wisdom tooth removed I had been dreading that day for a few years!! But I was freaking out over nothing tho, The procedures went well. it was a good idea to get 1 tooth at a time done. it was nice to have one side of my mouth to chew anything I absolutely had to with. (Not recommended) & let the other side heal. The Staff was very Kind & Professional, & the Oral Surgeon is very skilled. I couldn`t believe How Quickly he got my wisdom teeth out. very professional, polite, & a kind doctor as well. I Highly recommend Dr. Stakem! My mother in law does too. she takes all of her kids to get their wisdom teeth removed by him! :) anyways the dreaded recovery was not as bad as I imagined it would be. the top wisdom teeth barely hurt & the only inconvenience was not being able to use straws for a few days. it was a challenge because I get a lot of fast food, & take out, & I have to drive for a bit of my day. Now the Bottom wisdom tooth that was sideways was a decently long recovery. I would suggest taking a week or a week plus a few days off work if you can. (If your getting a sideways bottom tooth done, & your in your 30s.) But it wasn`t as bad as I thought it would be. It took me exactly a week to recover the Recovery I experienced was ALOT OF SLEEPING & the pain was on & off & definitely too much of a problem for me to not have the pain meds. & I did have an issue with the pain. but I learned that I shouldn`t have only taken the pain meds as needed. but I should of been taking them on a schedule, keeping them in my system. I`m sure that I would have not had a problem with the pain if I was doing that. I was worried about going back to work as I only had a week off to recover. but the nurse that answers the phone helped me make a pain med plan that wouldn`t have me falling asleep at work or anything. (The Narcs knock you out) The recovery was reasonable as it could possibly be for a sideways wisdom tooth surgery. The long recovery was the only thing that sucked about recovering. Its boring sleeping for a week basically, & your life is your pain med schedule, lol but You can`t skip that part of the experience. (I could not imagine getting both bottoms done at the same time.) I REALLY appreciate the Nurse & Doctor taking the time & effort of helping me after the surgery & not leaving me hanging. I can honestly say that they are a compassionate staff that treat you as a human being, good communication too. Not the get `em in & Get `em out, & I`m not helping you if I`m not getting paid treatment that I have gotten with other doctors. It`s Rare to find a place like this anymore when seeking medical care.
Wonderful Experience! I had an emergency visit, the staff was very kind and helpful, making sure I had the paperwork in line for my insurance. Dr Stakem was kind and took care of my problem quickly. My prescriptions were sent off while I was in the office allowing the pharmacy to have them ready to pick up on my drive home. Highly recommend this office.
