Absolutely love The Sod Lot!! I’ve ordered a couple pallets. The process is easy and so convenient . Great quality sod, same day cut and delivery!! Customer service all the way around is awesome! Dealt with Bridgette both times. Always pleasant and great customer service!! I live in a new build community and will totally spread the word to use The Sod Lot!! 😄

My experience was defined by several critical failures: Inflexible and Repetitive Communication: Frontline staff and store managers lack basic communication skills. When trying to ask standard questions about an upcoming project, I was repeatedly stonewalled by staff chanting a rigid mantra of "must be 1,000 square feet or more" like a broken record, completely disregarding the actual context of my inquiry. Sales-Driven Deception Regarding Inventory: The staff actively misrepresented their inventory availability to force an immediate sale. I was told "bad news" — that premium, cold-hardy varieties like ProVista and Viridian St. Augustine were entirely unavailable. They failed to mention that these varieties would simply be back in stock in a few weeks, all in an effort to aggressively push the Floratam they had sitting on the lot right then. It wasn't until the owner later reached out that I learned they do carry these premium varieties and when they'd arrive. The owner desperately needs to train his staff on proper follow-up and inventory transparency rather than relying on high-pressure, short-sighted sales tactics. Bizarre Product Limitations: For a dedicated sod company, it is incredibly strange that they completely refuse to offer sod pod plugs as a partial lawn-repair option. False Advertising and Refusal of Service: Despite their website explicitly advertising "free quotes," they flatly refused to come out to my property to provide an on-site estimate, analysis, or project assessment. Substandard Landscape Practices: They do not offer options for laying down quality topsoil prior to sod installation—a fundamental "no-no" for anyone trying to establish a healthy, long-lasting lawn root system. Ultimately, Sod Lot’s business model is incredibly transactional: they want your money upfront, sight unseen, so they can drop pallets of grass on your driveway and completely wash their hands of you. If you expect accurate product knowledge, professional consultation, or basic customer service, stay far away from this company. There are far better, more comprehensive operations out there.

Totally impressed with this business. Kiara and Allie? really know their stuff. Sell you the correct, high quality sod at a good price. Their forklift skills are expert level! It's comical watching them place a pallet of sod into a pickup bed with surgical precision.

Outstanding experience. Kiara is incredible to work with. Extremely knowledgeable and patient with my 100's of questions. Delivery driver was very friendly and accommodating. We purchased Bermuda and it is beautiful. Plan on purchasing several more pallets.
