Okay so I went 3 days in a row, And each day had a different crowd. I wanted to do karaoke but it didn't start till 9:00 p.m. so know that when you go in if you're planning to sing. The next day I went in solo and I felt like the old guy in the house. So I didn't do karaoke I drank a Coke felt a little awkward and then left. I brought the construction boys with me the next day. I needed them for support to expose my vocals to a new audience. It was a different crowd more people my age a lot more people there that day. I got on the list, and saying several tunes throughout the night. I love the DJ She was great and she sang along with me on the songs that needed a female vocal. She's amazing. Then I came back another time for the different DJ who also sang along with me and it was amazing. I videoed and the videos come out great with their backdrop of lights and stage. Thank you for great fun! Now I'm starting to feel like a regular and I'll be back for more.
It’s the atmosphere that gets ya not the booze selection that is for sure. This is a well liquor bar only so dont expect call brands. They did see the light and bring in alcohol alternative function bevs but need to expand on their offerings outside of Now A Days owner by big beer. Stay golden pony boy!
I absolutely am in love with The Pub and has been my home bar for 6 years! Best vibe in St. Augustine for sure. Lately I have been coming less due to one particular employee named Leanne. She is rude. Attention seeking. Bullies customers and flirts with their male partners. She is absolutely disgusting. Tonight I went with my partner and when it was time for closing she ripped my water from my hand (side note she was wasted and not even working) and told me I could not take it outside. I went straight to Jack who has been a top tier employee for years and he corrected the situation. I am so thankful for him! Tip Jack! He will take care of you! Love you Jack and Tyler yall are the best!
I haven't had any troubles at this place yet, except for the limited parking. Pubs will always draw schlubs, just like any other bar. The karaoke is a downright spectacle. This is great place to go with a large group because you can get your drinks quickly, not to mention grab a jello shot if the first drink isn't enough. Drinks are reasonably priced, a Long Island Ice Tea is less than $10 bucks, you'd be hard pressed to find one for less than $10 anywhere today..., even in Palatka you pay more. If you enjoy getting drunk with some friends and you want to vibe out, this probably the place for you. I can only last for one drink because I get tired of sitting in one place too long.
Came here on a Tuesday night with some friends. Was happy they had a N/A beer option and even some CBD infused cocktails. Dive bar feels and had a lot of seating available. It wasn’t super busy so the wait to sing karaoke wasn’t bad. The girl hosting it did a good job rotating people and letting us know if any songs have been sung prior upon request. I liked they she had multiple microphones so you could sing duets or with your friends. They had pool tables and other games offered in the next room if you didn’t wanna be in the main bar. They also offered a back patio area where the bathrooms were also. I can see this place getting much busier but I’m glad I didn’t go on a busy night. We had a good time!
