I just had to give Nika a shout out! She has been by far amazing throughout this process, she was very patient and understanding with me, smiled the entire way through and just made everything easy. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an apartment.

Perhaps the worst apartment shopping experience I've ever had. The office staff was rude, which I was willing to overlook, maybe she was having a bad day, honestly I didn't take it too much to heart and I honestly loved the property. I went back in later that day wanting to sign a lease, its all digital, I was ushered to the lounge to complete the paperwork myself. No explanation, no help, no excitement for signing up, just cool disregard. I had difficulty with every step of the portal, when I went in to ask a single question, I was again treated rudely and made to feel like an inconvenience. I left and almost didn't apply for the property based on my treatment alone, against my better judgement I applied for the apartment because I'm moving from out of state and I'm on a tight time line. $215 just to apply, which was never mentioned, they told me it would take 24-48 hours to process my application. 24 hours later I'm just now getting another link for a Pet screening, which is asking for additional money and pet vaccination records that are in a different state. None of the paperwork, or discussions at the front desk mentioned any of this. Even if I could scramble to call my out of state vet, have them fax over the papers, copy them, and upload them to the portal, I cannot get the front desk to answer the phone or email me back and I'm stuck in an AI loop with Zoey. I am honestly horrified you would treat anyone who wants to live somewhere like that, I'm young and somewhat technologically savvy but if someone with a mental impairment or is elderly wants to live here, it would be impossible. I hardly ever write reviews, but it feels like I was just conned out of $215 and several hours of my life.
I’ve had a great experience at The Place at Capper Landing. The community is nice and well-kept, and everything feels comfortable and welcoming. Special thanks to Isaiah for being so helpful and professional throughout the process—he made everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!
My experience at this apartment complex has been nothing short of tumultuous and disheartening. After recently switching to a new unit within the same community, I immediately encountered serious issues including roaches, rats, and a major leak that took weeks to repair. These intolerable conditions should never be present in any apartment, especially one that is supposed to be move-in ready. Adding to the frustration, I recently received a non-compliance notice taped to my door stating that I owed a $25 fee. This was the very first time I had been made aware of any such issue. When I contacted the office for clarification, I was told I was being charged because I did not upload my renter’s insurance document to their website. I found this shocking because I had been asked multiple times if I had renter’s insurance and each time I confirmed that I did. Not once was I ever instructed to upload my documents to an online platform. Penalizing residents for requirements that were never communicated is completely unreasonable. When I asked for the fee to be removed, I was told it could not be removed under any circumstances. I have called the office numerous times, and every time I am told the manager is in a meeting and will reach out to me. I was promised multiple follow-ups, yet no one ever called. I had to call back myself each time. After reviewing my account, I discovered that this is actually the third month I have been charged this non-compliance fee without my knowledge. Unfortunately, this is not the first time communication at this complex has failed. Prior to my move, I made arrangements with the office team, and I was assured the new apartment I would be moving into would be fully ready. However, when I arrived on move-in day, I was told there was no record of our conversation or the paperwork. Only after an employee searched through a pile of documents did they find the paperwork they previously claimed did not exist. Between unresolved maintenance issues, poor communication, inaccurate records, and unexpected fees that I was never informed about, my experience living here has been overwhelmingly negative. Since I have been unable to reach the manager by phone and have not received any promised follow-up, this written review reflects my ongoing concerns and the lack of proper response from management. I sincerely hope this feedback encourages the property to improve communication, accountability, and overall living conditions for current and future residents
Do not rent no apartment I applied for an apartment out here 2 1/2 months ago and pay a $150 admin fee and they have yet to give me my money back. I have been calling him and calling him and calling him and they keep telling me that they’re gonna send me my money back in four weeks mind you it’s been two months. These people are money, hungry, and they’re taking people’s admin‘s fees and telling us that we’re gonna get them back in their indeed not giving them back to us. The apartment manager is so nasty and she is so rude. She do not let you finish your comment or your statement before she starts trying to talk over. You went loud talk to you. They have no reason to not give me my money back. I have called them four times since I was denied for my apartment and they denied me for my apartment due to a repossession on my credit. What is a reposition on my credit have to do with me getting an apartment so they denied me for that cause I had a repossession and now they’re refusing to give me my money back. I have called and updated my address three times and they have yet to send me my money back. I got my money from the IRS before I got my money back from them and I’m still waiting and they’re telling me that I have to wait a whole another month. Do not get these people your money.
