Came in for dinner and will definitely come back! First off the staff was really nice! The ribs, pulled pork and smoked sausage were great! The Mac and cheese and coleslaw were awesome as well! I obviously had to try the sweet tea and it was great as well! Lots of people coming and going and the restaurant was nice and small and perfect!
Got fish dinner last night.. got home and opened it up to over fried hushpuppies that were inedible and fish fried in really old grease that tasted horrible. Definitely not how it use to be. Won't be back for awhile.
Always available to go in, sides are very good - to have. Meaty ' ribs ' ; perfect Chicken 🐔; BEER, and the best waitresses - to love.❤️🤎💜🩷 S
First time we’ve had their food. We got the ribs, chicken, lima beans and fried oysters. The chicken was for me and it was 100% not fully cooked. The oysters were also for me and they were fishy. I prefer raw but will order fried too. And these just didn’t taste or look right on the inside. I really hope they were fully cooked because I did eat 1 of them. We threw all of it away as I am pregnant. The Lima beans had no flavor at all. Didn’t taste like any seasoning was on them or if they were even cooked in a broth. The toast was just… disappointing. It wasn’t Texas toast. Not sure if it was supposed to be, but they were also flavorless. The corn was gummy. Neither one of us liked that either. My husbands ribs were just fine. It was the only thing we could eat out of our order. We ended up ordering food from somewhere else.
Down home BBQ! We felt like we were stepping into a long history of BBQ visiting this spot. Everyone one so friendly and the place was simple. They focus on the prize the BBQ 🤩 Our favorites were the ribs, okra, coleslaw and baked beans yuuummm! The sweet tea is extra sweet and the waitresses are too.
